I love how this episode starts to ask questions like "what is consciousness really" and "how does someone who is existing incorporeally perceive themself". We have such a particular point of view as humans, I wonder what it would actually do to your mind to have your perspective changed so drastically? I wonder if Chanda is the result of someone having no support or assistance in this process (compared to say, David) and losing their mind? That or he just wanted revenge - but one of those thoughts is more interesting to think about lol.

2025-08-04 16:55:40 +0000 UTCThe scene where David “transcends” his human perception is one of my favorites in the show. It captures what existing in a digital space would feel like to a person’s point of view so well and so creatively

2025-08-01 05:24:16 +0000 UTCThese last two episodes really did sneak Carry into being pretty sympathetic. I literally had an out loud "Jesus christ" moment when i saw the 1# Dad shirt, like damn guys... I do like the depth being added to Carry, it's compelling that by all accounts he seems like(or seemed like) a nice dude in the flashbacks. There's something about Laurie's, "It feels good!" line that really strikes me. In your previous episode discussion around the Stephen past scene where he talked about becoming "unencumbered" from his body and showing little fondness for his limited human needs and feelings. In that scene he seems to think that somehow becoming digital would let him transcend and escape from the trivial, messy, useless bodily needs, but as we see with David and Laurie, even digitally where they have no "body", their bodies and those familiar sensations still have a vice grip on them, and despite not needing to at all, they're still chasing those feel good sensations. And THAT feels really human, though i doubt Stephen would approve cause it makes the "digital transcendence" feel way less "divine" and way more still fallibly human. You can take the man out of the body, but you can't take the body out of the man.
