My Hero Academia: You're Next Reaction Extended (shorter version below)
Added 2025-07-08 01:00:03 +0000 UTCIn My Hero Academia: You're Next, Deku comes face to face with an over-dramatic, selfish narcissist hell bent on destroying innocent life. I think his name is Giulio.

Entertainmight, omg! You're commentary made this movie so much better for me! If I'm gonna rewatch it in the future, it'll be through your commentary, I'm serious! I really didn't like it the first time I saw it, a lot of my usual issues and I guess partly unmet expectations: I was hoping for a smaller scale 1-A focus like Heroes Rising (which is still my favorite of the movies) and I didn't get that, it was really crowded and only the big three got to really shine, as usual. You can't imagine how excited I got when they took Tokoyami with them, but then they immediately ditched him to fight fodder golems, my disappointment was immeasurable! But hey, I did perk up at Mirio, at this point, that's almost a Pavlovian response. And there's some parts I enjoyed, like the Mafia theme and Giulio. At least it wasn't what I was originally afraid it would be, which was Alternate Universe Evil All Might, I would have hated that. Love that you're looking for Koichi everywhere now, can't wait to see that trend continue once you start S8!

2025-07-12 10:36:39 +0000 UTC1:15 I understand your point about there is always a choice, but the information you have at this point is actually telling you is no other choice. The bike guy was the only one capable of neutralizing Annas power but he lost his right hand so he cant use his quirk anymore, and Annas power keep growing, so at this moment in the movie there is literally no way of saving her. Even if they rescute her the problem of her quirk remains

2025-07-08 17:36:57 +0000 UTCThis is an amazing movie, with the best villain out of all of them and great final battle but I still think hero’s rising is the best out of all MHA movies. Bakugo and dekus final fight against nine just hits that emotional string everytime with the perfect music to match. I really like how they explore other people’s interpretation of all mights strength. My question is, do you think AFO would hate dark might because he idolizes all might so much, or do you think AFO would love dark might just because how much he twist and distorts all mights image and message

2025-07-08 12:03:46 +0000 UTCIt did come to mind with "alchemy" and the sins but you're right that's a ton of references

2025-07-08 07:01:48 +0000 UTCim a little surprised to see you not catch onto how many fullmetal alchemist stuff was in the movie. from the main villains quark, the new characters metal arm and legs being the same ones as ed, 7 deadly sins based villains. the villain who first had the girl his quark was gluttony. the girl basically being a philosophers stone allowing the villain to bypass equivalent exchange. even the op theme was called "homunculus" and thats not even all.

2025-07-08 04:37:41 +0000 UTCYeah that's true. There's a lot of evidence that Dark Might is doing all this just cause he wants to feel something. Thankfully Deku was there to give him some feelings

2025-07-08 04:19:16 +0000 UTCI don’t know man, All Might is like 7.5 ft and weighs like 600-700 pounds, how much alcohol would it take for him to get drunk. Maybe Dark Might was drinking so much because he wanted to feel buzzed.

2025-07-08 03:30:46 +0000 UTCI'm only half way through the reaction but I'm shocked you didn't see where Giulio was coming from more since just the aspect of the person she's enhancing getting stronger INFINITLY is she loses control and him not being able to stop her I don't know what I would do in his Position

2025-07-08 03:29:27 +0000 UTCpretty sure invisible girls daydream was her being able to try on clothes and see how they look which is pretty sad

2025-07-08 01:16:02 +0000 UTCAs far as I’m concerned this was a better anniversary celebration of Studio Bones than their original anime Metallic Rouge. While light on plot, this movie was easily the best looking overall with some of the best action done in the franchise. Though it makes the events season 7 look lacking in comparison. Best villain out of the four movies too, by performance alone. But season 8 is looking to be fantastic as well, cause Horikoshi himself is more heavily involved with the creative and story boarding process.
