Mini School Festival, I mean Naruhata Festival, let's go! Also, tune in next week for Keeping up with the Oguros! Jokes aside though, I think while you can pick up on similarities, things are just different enough to be interesting in their own right. Like, the Knuckles/Tamao thing ofc reminds me of Endeavor/Toya, but like you broke down at the end there, it is a whole different situation, a fascinating one, too. Also yeah on the bee body horror and whatever they did to the poor eel kid, seems like body modification, which feels very proto-nomu? Gives me a visceral reaction akin to the Shigaraki quirk awakening *shudders*. On a lighter note, love the bee puns, feels like we're keeping the Best Jeanist pun legacy alive! ;) Also, I kinda love the glimpse at what seems to be fledgling Pro Heroes Midnight, Mic and Eraser? Like, Midnight and Mic felt like they ran into each other at work for the first time, exchanging official names and such, and Aizawa feels more rigidly grumpy and bothered, even more so than he used to be in early days MHA? Also, the fact that they are apparently minor enough Heroes to be glad for the publicity of this minor event where the big names outright refuse? And well, Aizawa seems less thorough in his handling of the Villain, I can't see MHA Aizawa being caught off guard like this. Unless you're right, and the Pro Hero appearances are covert safety measures, that never occured to me before, but would make a ton of sense, given all the unrest in Naruhata lately...

I also immediately thought of Yakuza when that dude was singing, and I think I’m finally gonna start Yakuza 0 soon. Ended up getting sidetracked with some other games that came out, (Deltarune and Elden Ring Nightreign) but I can’t delay it any more. I need the context for that stupid karaoke scene already!

The most ancient of epics like Beowulf and Gilgamesh are all effectively anime. When you were talking about media being impactful for individuals it made me realize that the desire to feel connected to powerful people who take charge of their lives has been ingrained in us from the very beginning.

So, now we have the concrete confirmation that Kuin Hachisuka(Tamao Oguro) is Knuckleduster's daughter. And here in this episode, we have an instance of somebody transformed by a presumably improved version of trigger that keeps them from reverting back to their original form. In this case, it would be Teruo(The Eel kid that likes Pop), but it also seems like Aizawa's Erasure doesn't work on this newer version of Trigger, but that may just mean he can't turn off the transformation and it's permanent now. I also like that we see Makoto taking charge and stepping up as a leader in both last episode and this one. And with how involved and active she is in the event, she's not showing any signs of half-assing it. She came up with an action plan, a schedule, and is taking care of other behind the scenes things for the event. And like you said last episode, it's an opportunity for Pop to grow and branch out as a performer. This also gives her the advantage of making connections with the fellow performers in the festival and in a way, networking herself in the future. Koichi's currently taking a backseat from the spotlight so we're focusing on our two other main protagonists and their current struggles/hurdles and I like that a lot! We get more development and reason to care for the other members of our cast and what they're currently doing and why. It's simple, but very effective. And it's a bit of a critique I have against the main MHA series. I still love the story that the main series is telling, but there's too many characters for them to be given their fair or due development that they should have gotten. I'm excited to see our next episode!

That's a good point. I don't really know how it works. Can she... produce... other things like poison I wonder?

Nice to here AFO voice again...I guess?

I doubt the drug bees would be more effective against him since what we've seen so far from KD he seems to be quirkless since Aizawa's quirk didn't do anything to him, so its either that or he just has a quirk that he uses only in special occasions, and if he is Quirkless the trigger wouldn't do anything to him I loved the animation at the very end of KD talking really nice

They aren't really advertising products, they are just there to play music like a dinner and a show like Makoto said last episode rather than like you said the All Might chip commercial.

Just like last episode, the villain beaten by CC was changed. In the manga, the villain is named Rikiya Eno, and their quirk is «Big Monkey». So basically they changed the villain from King Kong to Mothra
