Hello from Incheon Airport Jail (updated)
Added 2025-06-09 14:46:07 +0000 UTC*** Update ***
First of all, a deep thank you and my sincerest gratitude for the outpouring of support and solidarity over the insanity of the last 2 weeks.
First there was the channel copyright strikes, then I left Korea for what I thought would be a brief trip to Malaysia / Brunei, and then upon my return spent 24 hours in an airport detention center before being deported back to Malaysia.
Throughout all of that the warmth, kindness, and encouragement I got from you guys was beautiful, humbling, and awe-inspiring to an almost painful degree (in the best way, if you know what I mean).
Thank you.
By way of an update:
The morning after my last post I was put on a 5 am flight back to Malaysia since that was my country of origin on the trip (it was given the choice of that or the US, at my expense, but with a discount only for Malaysia 🤷♂️).
I landed in Kota Kinabalu and spent the night there since I was exhausted, having spent the previous 40 hours on planes / in a detention center (kind of similar actually) and then yesterday morning I came to Kuala Lumpur to stay for 2 weeks while I get my bearings and work out a plan. On that front I think there are a lot of good options.
I'm doing well and am in good spirits. Despite this being a DRAMATIC situation, the fact that it isn't all that bad is reason enough to celebrate and be grateful.
My only real point of anxiety right now is not being able to film! It's weird, I'm realizing how ingrained it's become in my life. I feel deficient without it 😂
I have taken a few breaks here and there over the years but it's been a while and this is the first time it's been FORCED on me. But my girlfriend is coming to see me this weekend and is nice enough to bring my stuff so I can get back to it next week with a full schedule.
This was originally going to be a new post that included another section for some questions I have about new content.
In the post I made about the copyright strikes I alluded to having some thoughts and questions about future content, and I got a lot of great preliminary feedback on that, thank you! I am going to incorporate all of that and also ask some more specific questions for anyone who's willing to participate tomorrow, but I decided that deserves its own post for clarity.
Anyway that's all, hope you guys are doing great and see you soon 💪

It's not as bad as it sounds, but I am being held prisoner in an airport.
Hello everyone. You're probably wondering how I got here, sleeping in a detention center right next to the airport concourse.
Long story short I was denied entry to Korea and am being forcibly returned to Malaysia from whence I came. I appealed and lost and now am waiting until morning to fly out.
I don't really know what this means yet for my permanent location. I would actually be fine with leaving Korea if not for my cat and girlfriend who I very much would like to continue to see on a regular basis. Though I am confident I can work something out once I get my bearings and can sleep in a bed instead of an airplane or airport bench (it's been a while).
Unfortunately and infuriatingly I did not bring my laptop or any of my equipment with me, which means that even though I have filmed a handful of videos I won't be able to edit or post anything for probably about a week until I can get a hold of my stuff.
I'm very sorry for the delay. I really hate just disappearing and suddenly not uploading, and this comes right on the heels of a super light week so I feel really bad about it.
(On the plus side (about that), so far there's been no news about any kind of legal action against me by Aniplex, so I think that's a really good sign.)
I expect to be back in action by next week and can also probably do extra to catch up on Vigilantes since I'll miss this week's episode.
Very sorry again for all the delays and the sparse schedule recently and thank you in advance for your understanding.
For anyone who's curious about what immigration detainment is like in South Korea, basically they throw you in a room with all the other detainees after confiscating your passport. The room is right next to the concourse and I've walked past it probably 20 times without knowing what it was. There actually is a shower and washing machine in here which I really appreciate, and they just gave out blankets cause it's freezing. The most bizarre part of this is that we are allowed to leave for a limited amount of time (there's a timer) to wander around the gates. It's a surreal feeling and totally changes the vibe of the airport. I spent a good part of today walking around talking to people waiting for their flights.
