2025-05-23 04:44:22 +0000 UTCNow I find myself wanting you to watch Dr. Stone and Skip Beat! Dr. Stone having similar themes about humanity and learning as some of your other watch. Skip Beat! having some interesting personal growth through the lenses of acting (although I must admit the meat of it is in the not adapted manga).

2025-05-23 04:40:05 +0000 UTC00:40 Whose rights were more violated: Goodwinβs right to not see the word βTentacleβ every 5 minutes in Ass Class, or Regulusβ when everybody looked at him and laughed?

2025-05-22 03:47:33 +0000 UTClol, been actually thinking a lot about the idea "parasites can't grow in flowing water." Probably a completely different take on it than what you were saying but I wonder if there's a cosmic similarity of sorts where things often spiral in order to prevent stagnation. That's why I never liked the idea of 'God' or 'The Universe' or even 'Truth' to be perfect because perfectly still water is lifeless (aside from parasites).

2025-05-22 03:19:55 +0000 UTCI'm still chewing on the tentacles thing. There's some larger significance (and the subtitles really drill that home) but not sure what to make of it exactly. Something about your hands as your actions? The fruits of your intention?

2025-05-22 02:35:20 +0000 UTCThis episode always makes me kind of tear up but i don't know why but the part that gets me is the tentacles asking him what he wants to be and he says he wants to be "weak, riddled with weakness, easy to talk to be able to perceive the weak, protect them, guide them... to be that kind of creature, that kind of teacher" and also the music during that scene as well. heres my theory about the break out scene we see him go from white and I think this is him telling the tentecals that he wants to be sort of "godly" like he wants to have some fun trying out his new powers and then to a black when he gets pierced by the traps, he gets angry and I think he tells the tentacles he was to be something like a killing machine, then when koro-sensei is holding on to Aguri you can see the ends of his tentacles turn yellow kind of like he immediate started to change, like the entire time the tentacles are asking him what he wants to be and when she's dying he's just screaming that to himself in his head that he wants to be "weak, riddled with weakness, easy to talk to be able to perceive the weak, protect them, guide them... to be that kind of creature, that kind of teacher" and that's why he starts turning yellow and I feel it makes the scene so much sadder if its true. the next 2 episode are some of my favorites and I can't wait I always think about them when this show gets brought up some really good stuff coming up!

2025-05-22 02:19:39 +0000 UTCThat makes sense. Also this weird feeling of having been looking forward to it being over and trying to just get through it, only to feel slightly alarmed in the end that you don't have more time.

2025-05-22 02:15:02 +0000 UTCSpeaking of Kingdom hearts is light, I got some Roxas and Xion flashbacks this episode. For anyone who has played 365/2 days. Anyways, I think graduating in general also has these feelings of echos and flashbacks to all the things you've done and uncertainty of the future. It's more a highschool thing in the US but there is a gloom in the air when you are a senior of reflections and uncertainty that this plot line reflects to an extreme. At least I had that and a few of my peers did.
