Yeah it's funny that I remember that particular event so vividly. I think because of the sheer insanity of it.

2025-05-13 06:49:42 +0000 UTCSo, in the game they only very lightly touch upon the WLF/Seraphite stuff until the Abby section of the game, and I’m not quite there yet in my playthrough, but I really like how they’re sprinkling it in so far. I am surprised they’re holding back the Joel/Ellie flashbacks, as in the game they were in between parts of the Ellie portion of the game. The subway scene was well done for sure. In the first game, they only did the whole humans and infected in the same combat environment a single time, and it was in the Left Behind DLC. I think that subway section was the first time they did it in Part 2. Those types of combat encounters are definitely some of the most fun. I was playing earlier today and once I realized there were also infected, I just chucked a bottle at one of the dudes and watched the chaos unfold.

They're doing so well and this is clearly so much more important... On the heels of that whole event going so horribly wrong, what's the continued incentive to risk everything?

2025-05-13 01:45:46 +0000 UTCWhile I do think this episode is better than last ep I still have my problems with this one but what I did enjoy was everything to do with Issacs scenes I think those we're great but my main problems come from the end of the episode, First of all since there were no spores in the show they had to have Dina find out Ellie is immune in a new way which I find that they did it in a weaker way since in the game she was willing to give her life to save Ellie by giving her her mask. My main problem with this episode is that Ellie feels too happy she is supposed to be consumed by her want for revenge that it is ruining the life she has around her and her reaction to finding out Dina is pregnant in the game being that she calls her a burden for not telling her sooner so they could turn back instead she is excited about being a dad, even in her journal entries in the game she writes that she feels guilty that she's not thinking about Joel here is it directly written "Baker City. We saw a pack of wild horses today. They were skittish, then Dina offered them some of the fruit we collected. They ended up following us for a bit. Wish I had a camera. I've never seen her smile so wide. For like half a day I wasn't thinking about the WLF or Joel. Feeling guilty about that now" and it feels like Ellie has no survival skills like Dina is baby sitting her most of the time
