I do love Knuckleduster as a mentor, coz while his ways are entertaining they are flawed, but that also means Koichi can teach him something in return. I think they mesh nicely as a duo, reminiscent of All Might and Deku, but also very different in some ways to keep it interesting.

Like Knuckleduster said, the heroes usually act AFTER an incident has already happened, but these guys are trying to be preemptive and take down villains before they have the chance to do something. And I like the argument both for and against this approach. And with the case of these instant villains with the trigger drug, you really do want to prevent them before they happen because it's just that instant. Also, I'm not sure if this is completely related, but remember that one bladed guy that Kirishima took down while interning with Fat Gum? He injected something into his neck, just like one of Overhaul's subordinates and it really amplified their quirk abilities. I think that may have been an improved version of the trigger drug, but I don't recall that being confirmed or not. Just a little thing to consider!

They are references to Jojos bizarre adventure (part 3 and 4 iirc) note the hat that blends in the hair like part 3 Jojo and the pompadore of part 4 Jojo. And both very old looking middle schoolers. 2. It's a Xmen comic refrence of wolverine (part 3 jojo) who can materialize wooden Swords out his hands (a delinquent refrence). And Cyclops (part 4 jojo) with the laser beam eyes and visor. Those two have notably butted heads before in comics

Like believing how allmight shows off and does Interviews, toys, ect are unneeded in season 1. All might even calls out that while Erasure Head is super strong him not playing the game of hero means he isint well known to commen people and isint actually ranked high he prefers to stay on the low ect.
