Because it's not actually a harmful philosophy. It means she loves the world and everything in it, which stops it from being the traditional haughty and degrading view that she normally has. But it also might give an insight on -why- she treats people with such open disrespect, because there's a sense of frustration or want to nurture or rebuke things that are destructive or harmful from encroaching upon the love that she, as the gardener, wants to spread.

We’ve laid the current foundation for our “core” cast, the Emilia camp in S2, and while their growth/change is far from over, after having an arc solely focused on them and their inner struggles, it’s nice to zoom out a bit, see more of the world, and have the larger cast get development and time to shine.

It's that there are so many characters that have fascinating things going on that I can't wait to see more from. I feel like Wrath and Lust have already paid off in a big way but I'm excited to see more of Regulus and Sloth on the antagonist side, and Priscilla, Al, Julius, and Anastasia on the protagonist side

2025-04-18 05:07:53 +0000 UTCLet’s go! This episode still has a ton going on, but it’s nice to have a little reprieve from the craziness of the past many eps. I love the visuals of the “Dragon VS Mabeast” scene that we get. The reasoning for these visuals won’t be revealed till later down the line, but I love that the anime decided to visualize it this way. And you can somewhat put together the meaning based on info we know, and what Subaru in particular has faced when it comes to those two entities that were fighting. I love Priscilla so much man. Her personal philosophy, and the way she interacts with the world are so entertaining. She’s never boring. And you can definitely achieve incredible things if that fire of hers is pointed in the right direction. Plus she’s just beautiful, so maybe that’s why I’m so captivated lmao. I adore the designs of the “Egg Mabeasts.” They very much echo the Xenomorphs from the Alien series, another notch in the Capella-related horror homage belt. Also I love Liliana’s VA. What a great singer. I adore all the Regulus scenes with Emilia and 184, there’s a lot to dig into when it comes to Emilia’s perspectives on love and what her ideal is, 184’s resignation from existence seemingly, and Regulus’ calm exterior, with clear signs of bubbling intensity. But I particularly wanna draw attention to one scene. When Regulus flicks his finger in an attempt to kill 184, he doesn’t try again after it fails. He just says “Oh, I’m sorry! I wasn’t thinking.” and then moves on. No words of anger towards Emilia for saving her, no attempt to follow up, he just, continues on. It’s as if he wasn’t connected to the outcome or situation at all. It’s super fascinating imo. And of course, while Subaru is a knight, he’s got his own knight in shining armor, and is saved by Julius. Love your connection to their convo at the start of the season to some of the wider themes of this arc. Also love seeing the Archbishops interacting, and Emilia being proactive. She’s really grown so much, and we get to see that with her and Subaru this ep. Interesting to note that the Archbishops don’t seem to be the owns responsible for the watergate opening. I love Subarus own conditions as you might call it. His resolve, his drive, and his own reason for being a knight, have changed so much from S1, it makes me so happy. And Al on the other end of the Metia. Man from Japan indeed. Awesome thoughts as always, I’m so excited for next ep. One of my favs in the whole show.

2025-04-18 01:59:07 +0000 UTCI'm like 90% sure Crusch didn't get turned into the dragon because we clearly see the dragons corpse in the background when lust is pouring the dragon blood on her face and in this episode when felix is talking to Julius, Ricardo, and Wilhelm about her they say "she doesn't look good" and that "she used to be a beauty" and that "it'd only hurt to see her now" since lust said last ep lust said that she wondered what Crusch would turn into that lets us know she doesn't have control over what she tunes them into so we can only assume as to what she looks like, they pan to a shot obscured shot of a bed that she is lying on and I doubt a dragon is going to fit on that bed. this episode marks the point where I don't know what's coming next and I'll be going in somewhat blind as well except for some things I got spoiled excited to see where this season goes!

2025-04-18 01:13:58 +0000 UTCSo actually the beginning of the episode with mabeast (the monster dogs) and the dragon is actually the 2 curses fighting, remember in season 1 when Subaru got bitten by many many mabeast dogs ? well he got many many curses that would have killed him have they been activated but thankfully they were able to kill the dogs before the curses activated. But the curses stayed, inactive but they were still in his body the whole time. Lucky him since the dog curses fought the dragon curse and were able to prevent the spread of the dragon blood that Capella dripped in his leg. Result he has a very alien looking leg which can heal but didn;t transform into a monster thanks to the already existing curses which protected him.
