Actually for Regulus there are some things that you don't know about him, so it might seem like he's interested in like sex or lust but that's not really it.

2025-04-12 03:07:15 +0000 UTCWith Garfield I'm reminded of another quote from the anime Bungo Stray Dogs "Don't pity yourself. Once you go down that road life turns into an endless nightmare." Self pity is kind of the corrupted form of self reflection. I suppose the difference is when you stop planning on how to improve and start thinking of how better off the situation would be without you. For Garf too he has to come to terms with his mom found a happy life without him, even though it was all an accident.

2025-04-12 01:39:51 +0000 UTCGreat reaction and commentary I really like the journey that Garfiel is going through here. Going from s2 to this was great, garfiel has really grown on me. I also feel bad for him doubting his strenght because all his life he has been at the sanctuary so going out into the world and seeing there are other people stronger than him is rough. I also really like Elsa being an antagonist in his mind as it was the scariest experience he's ever faced, and as a kid no less. Never thought id say it but Garfiel has definetely become one of my favorite characters in this show. Also i totally see why you would be a little worried about Subaru not wanting to use RBD as u said Emilia or anyone else could be beyond saving if the checkpoints mess him up which is incredibly valid, since its as Echidna said the reason he couldnt save Rem is because Subaru is the only one RBD is protecting and anyone else is irrelivant. But i also really like the approach Subaru is taking here, i mean we dont want him to become like the Greed If Subaru.

We get more clarity on the Witches Remains, the remains themselves being Typhon’s (The Witch of Pride, the little girl who shattered Subaru to pieces in the tea party) I love the visuals for the scene, it just looks really cool. Lots of interesting speculations from the cast this episode, the whole royal family situation was talked about allll the way back in the mansion arc, and it’s been mentioned multiple times in the background of the story. Also Al seemingly knowing some stuff this ep about typhon, and giving some useful advice regarding gluttony before departing from the group. Poor Mimi. You’ve mentioned it a few times, but she really does feel and act like a cat. I love Garf’s convo with Ricardo and the others. I don’t wanna reiterate my comment from last episode too much, but I love the journey Garf goes on this season/arc. Trying to find his strength, but continually hitting seemingly insurmountable walls, emotional and physical. And now both this episode. I really like how Julius and Subaru interact throughout this season. Julius clearly trying to bridge the gap every chance he can, with Subaru still adamantly trying to keep his distance. Crusch looks great with her hair up. That’s all. And we finally see Capella. Her VA is just incredible. She’s up there as my favorite archbishop. A whole ass dragon, I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised with her this arc. This scene is just great, and it’s really reminiscent of the scenes with Elsa in the first arc, with Subaru acting as a distraction while someone else charges up an attack. The animation on her regeneration is also incredible. This season has some absolutely incredible cuts of animation, as you’ll continue to see. One thing I really appreciate about this season/arc, is the action. Re: Zero has had fights before, but it’s hardly been a focus. This season really changes that. It’s one of the things I appreciate most about Re: Zero, it never sticks to a formula for its story. Tappei, the author, will have something he wants to say in a given arc, and will evolve and deconstruct the story as needed to fulfill that. He always swings for the fences. This arc feels fast and punchy, and the battles feel really great to watch unfold due to the wide range of abilities and strengths of the cast, as well as the antagonists. Gluttony gets reintroduced, but is going by Roy Alphard instead of Lye Batenkaitos as we’ve seen previously. And finally, Regulus being a weirdo. Honestly, I’m most excited to hear your thoughts on him this season. He’s one of my fav archbishops. Great thoughts as always, super excited for next ep, I absolutely love it.
