Helena definitely did a lot of terrible things across the board. Lying about her identity a big one for this particular situation. Isolating specifically for the issue of sex with a shared body, it just seems wrong to me no matter what unless there's some kind of communication possible between the two identities. One of the major issues with it is that freedom of choice generally assumes we're also respecting other people to make those choices for themselves as well. The severance process by design makes this nearly impossible, but certain things seem worse than others, and those are probably the things that would create permanent physical or emotional changes in the other identity

You mentioned that there's a spike in the chip. Thinking about it now, it probably stops people from taking it out. It kills you if you do. Kind of like a fishing hook.

I personally don't see what Helly and Helena did as anywhere near the same thing. The Outies created the Innies to do nothing other than work. They are effectively slaves. They are not allowed to fall in love, map out the floor, have knowledge of the outside. They aren't considered real people by a majority of the Outie cast. Some people are just more subtle about it than others. The Innies didn't choose to be born. But they are. So don't they deserve the autonomy to make choices like the Outies? What Helena did was falsify her identity to get close to a man and ended up assaulting two people in the progress. Helly and Mark just decided to have sex. Helly specifically lost her virginity. You made a comment that it was blue and cold and that was absolutely done intentionally. The first sex scene was orange and seductive with harsh shadows. This one is awkward like two kids learning about themselves for the first time. And they deserve to have this, because they were created.

Having seen through episode 7 it feels to me like they were a lot more confident and inspired this season and poured a lot into it

I love how this season is pushing the story along while deepening the ideas and situations it puts the characters through. I can see a lot of shows making the reveal of outtie Helly cosplaying innie helly as a season finale or reintegration way down the line. I guess my outie enjoys when shows don’t rest on their laurels

Samuel Del Toro

That's amazing. This actually is a show I would love to watch with my mom. In fact I've recommended it to her haha When I first started doing reaction videos she watched Midnight Gospel along with me, which was an amazing experience because of the content of that show.

Alex G

My mom Got me into this show & I do watch the show with her. 😂 But she’s a heavy sci-fi fan & has even watched AoT & couple other anime with me while I was living at home. So no biggie despite the awkwardness. Also I love that you love Milchick. Every episode we hope for him to see the light & break from Lumon. Pun intended.

Paris Hardy

Spiritual Severance, salvation has never been so simple!

I have been waiting for you to get to this episode! That Burt, Fields dinner explores a lot of stuff you've been talking about. Btw, wasn't sure if you caught it but big buddy Lumon was investigating Irving's home and his secret detective chest while the dinner was occurring. Also a super interesting Milchick episode I love how invested in him you are
