"don't you have enough?" I mean, no ... he is greed after all... And yes, Crunchyroll's subtitles have sadly a lot of mistranslation, pretty much at least one every episode. I think the translation from MuseAsia is in general considered to be better ... but you have to be in Asia to access it (or use VPN)

She said that it was Subaru's precious desire to save Lusbel that led him to this, not the other way around, although in that precise moment, the two were in the middle ofscaring each other literally to death in a spiral of fear from sharing emotions, so it's possible that Lusbel also felt a desire to save Subaru.

It kind of reminds me of Fate UBW(If you don't get that reference you should totally read/watch the fate series). BTW all the archbishops have amazing voice acting! Great reaction!

2025-04-04 02:00:26 +0000 UTCLmao I felt like such a hypocrite for having the knee jerk, "don't take Emilia" reaction. Super OP characters run that risk, yeah. But it can still be done well. Gojo comes to mind. Reinhardt sort of obviously needed to be explained away here. One thing I will say is that I thought his absolute horror of his realization about what he had done was incredible. Just imagining someone of that power and stature realizing what he was responsible for... I actually can't remember which theme except that it's from the original red and blue, but it's just a few notes

Cuz its like u said if Subaru calls on him all the time then its "too ez" there wouldnt be a story if he got called on each time xD And for that reason Reinhard has kinda lost some points for me, i mean he's cool and all but idk if Reinhard needs to be this busted xD but idk maybe im just a hater lol Also kinda funny u doubted Emilia yet again, guess u didnt learn from s2 did ya? now she's gonna take some lives!!.....well aside from her getting bodied here but u know cant win em all ;) Also u said the outro sounded like pokemon for a second, which song or music did it sound simular too? If u dont know or remember the name thats alr im just curious as im a pokemon fan and hearing u say "pokemon" sparked my interest lol. Enjoyed the reaction and commentary, cant wait for the episode 3 reaction, its a good one.

2025-04-04 01:46:12 +0000 UTCRe: Zero time! This episode is just all gas no brakes, I love it. Emilia goin off, lots of death, and the worst timeline ever for Reinhard. The way that Subaru’s deaths to Sirius are directed is just exquisite. Equally horrifying and insightful into Sirius’ way of thinking. (Not so) fun fact: When Subaru dies from hanging, it’s actually specified in the novel that he doesn’t die from blood loss or anything, but from sheer fear bouncing back between him and Lusbel in an infinite feedback loop. Actual nightmare fuel. I also love Subaru’s “fear speech” that he goes through, and you covered that rlly well in discussion. The Reinhard attempt is a smart plan, but of course it wouldn’t be that easy. I also like how Reinhard tends to talk down his abilities and achievements in every fight, it’s an interesting bit of characterization. (As a side note, one of the very first things Reinhard says when he’s introduced in S1 is “My family is quite a unique one. Every day, I feel I’ll be crushed by their expectations.” So we got some foreshadowing to his family situation alll the way back then) It’s also quite an awful world for Reinhard to be existing in, having accidentally killed all those people. Poor guy. I love his conversations with Beatrice and Emilia respectively, showing the growth he and they have had with one another, where previously they all may have fallen into certain traps, they’ve all grown substantially. The fight between Emilia and Sirius is just so hype man. I love seeing her go all out. We got to see a bit of her hand to hand skills when she fought those random mercenaries back in the Frozen Bond OVA, but now she’s got a proper opponent. The back and forth between the two of them is just fantastic. Sirius is also just amazing, her design, dialogue, VA, the way she moves, such a striking introduction for a character, and immediately memorable. Also love the Liliana snack gag, it’s so simple but I love it lmao. And finally, Regulus appears. 79th wife? How greedy. Great thoughts as always, super excited for the next eps!
