You don't have to be cartoonishly evil to do bad things. Also, while the individuals may only have violence to fight against Lumen, Lumen doesn't have to resort to violence. A sufficiently big & influential org can just litigate you to death (and the innies and outies probably ARE breaking their contract terms.. so Lumen would be legally in the right) or just de-person-ify you
