2025-03-11 01:32:12 +0000 UTCI paused the video to argue with someone about the whole “life isn’t fair cause some people have easy lives argument” and when I resumed the video you went on to say the exact things I said 🤣 I been below poverty for 10 years but I’ll never hate the rich I’d rather use that anger to start my jewelry business

2025-03-11 00:30:17 +0000 UTCI've literally had the exact same interaction that Kyle and Mark did. My friend introduced me to her boyfriend, and it was kind of awkward at first, until we realized we had the same favorite author, then everything clicked and now we're better friends than I am with her.

2025-03-09 13:24:58 +0000 UTC1. There's no investigation or charges against Invincible for the Chicago incident because he committed no crime 2. They did investigate him, technically. That's what the GDA does. 3. "Our laws don't apply in situations like this". False. The rules applied A-Ok against Darkwing, which is the closest analogy we have of a hero committing crimes 4. People won't forgive, but a good action doesn't offset a bad one. People should grudgingly accept Omniman if, for example, he was sentenced and served his time. 5. Again, this Powerplex person is crazy and his emotions have overcome his logic. Invincible has done no crime because he didn't do anything, he was thrown around by Omnniman 6. She's enabling him. 7. He's ready to call it quits and she goads him on 8. "Murder" requires intention. Invincible didn't murder anyone 9. "My dad and I did" except Invincible didn't "do" anything, or let anything happen because of his inaction. 10. "If Powerplex had hurt people today would it be my fault ((because he was angry at me, because I couldn't prevent this from happening))?" Sure. It's also Debbie's fault for having you, her parents for having her, and God's fault for creating mankind. This is why society's justice works with degrees of separation 11. He's ready to surrender and she's using him for her own ends. It's not "You're not helping". She's actually the instigator. She's worse than him, because he is clearly disturbed, borderline a simpleton, (and has lessened culpability) and she's using him as a tool. 12 HE is not using the kid. SHE is using both the kid and him. It's HER plan. 13. "Poor Mark" Everyone's killing people around him without it being his fault

2025-03-09 04:50:00 +0000 UTCi guess i just feel like we've covered that ground pretty heavily with Angstrom but the succinctness of this story definitely adds to the gut punch and falls in like with the season's themes. Yeah jesus that was hard to watch. it's that eric andre meme where he explodes his family and then he's like "WHY DID INVINCIBLE DO THIS??"

2025-03-09 04:44:44 +0000 UTCThey took on some tough dilemmas this season. I love Oliver as an addition, way exceeded my expectations. I appreciate Powerplex for the idea of that sort of self-reinforcing, irrational hatred as a means of coping with pain. And yeah Aaron Paul did a great job, as did the overall direction with the episode, it was deeply disturbing for me to watch (thanks?)

2025-03-09 03:34:02 +0000 UTCThey made it darker here than the comics cause Scott’s son there was a toddler but in the show they made him an infant.

2025-03-09 03:07:56 +0000 UTCThere's such an odd feeling whenever Oliver talks about his dad because like it is really nice, and he does ultimately recognize the atrocities while also believing there's room for redemption, but you're right, they can't really forgive Omni-Man and should never be expected to. I just love the introduction of this character, I think he adds a ton of depth to the story. He will never have the same perspective as the characters we've followed, but parallels and contrasts with them in super interesting ways. If I'm being real, I never really liked the powerplex storyline all that much but Aaron Paul's performance is really heartbreaking and they added a lot to him but I still feel that he's a little underbaked as a three dimensional character especially compared to some of the other random side guys and villains.
