That's where I've seen it haha

Yeah I think the new adaptation is the move :D

All of these names for new Nen techniques are interesting, but also a little funny to me. We started out the series seemingly dedicated to a whole new alphabet and world, but then just after the Exam arc decided, nah, kanji are cooler, and just went with that. Mixed feelings. Both 'ko' and 'ken' (硬、堅) are different ways of writing "tough/hardened". Interestingly, some Japanese teachers I know actually use this series to teach the difference between them: 硬い is hard as in capable of breaking other things / giving off a firm impression, whereas 堅い emphasizes durability in general, just like how Ko is used for offense, while Ken is basically defense. And then 'ryuu' (流), where you adjust continuously between the two extremes, is actually a very valuable character to learn. It means "flow" in this context, but for most people visiting Japan, it'd be most important because it's also the kanji for "flush" on a toilet, haha.

Bold of you to assume it will end.

Oh my gosh, I am so hyped for that. Will watch every episode until it ends when I’m 47.

A new One Piece anime adaptation is coming

Sunny

Honestly, One Piece is my top 1 (specifically the manga) and I’m sure he’d absolutely adore it, but the anime has quite a few pacing issues, and the episode watching would likely be too spread out to come up with a lot each video. Plus it would be a lot of work. Honestly the best way I could see (in my inexperienced opinion) is to watch a bunch of episodes and post the highlights in bigger videos, but there is still the time of watching the episodes and editing. Also, for people who are reading this who are thinking of getting into One Piece, you won’t regret it. If the anime is too daunting for you, then read the manga, it’s better paced, quite easy to get into, and quicker. It obliterated many of my preconceived notions of what the show was. Trust me, you will be VERY surprised if you just expect a meathead shonen.

I know it would never work for the channel but I really do think you'd love the characters in One Piece, Luffy embodies that sense of freedom that you also see in Gon

oerwhat

these location changes are so crazy haha. Enjoyed another great reaction. Thank you

One thing I really like about Hunter x Hunter's writing is that it follows an arc structure but doesn't abandon anything it's built up. I remember calling this the "of course" effect to a friend at one point, because the writing just facilitates all these characters so easily regardless of the tone or circumstance. "Of course Hisoka would be at the top of Heaven's Arena. Of course the Zoldyks would be hired to take out Chrollo. Of course The Phantom Troupe would try to break into Greed Island." And with more to come... It just all works so well and really makes the world feel alive beyond the existence of Gon and Killua.

I really like Genthru’s Countdown ability. Much like Kurapika’s chains, it’s one of the best abilities that shows off the potential of Nen conditions. Countdown uses both Conjuration and Emission very heavily, which are as far apart from each other as you can get on the Nen hexagon. Yet it remains an incredibly strong ability due to the strict condition of needing to tell the target exactly how to diffuse it. God WHY don’t we have a HxH RPG, it’s all I need.

And it's clearly in the enhancer category, but because nen battles have plenty of hand to hand combat, nobody can really just skip it and focus on a different category entirely. It puts everybody on a similar playing field to start out with, and THEN allows for the nen creativity of their hatsu as like, an extra level of fighting

Sunny

Yep, rip Puhat. Glad you liked him so quickly lol I also like what you were saying about the Bomber. That's the way I always took it. Like yeah he's a murderer and he clearly enjoys it and is a terrible person, but he's also playing this game where you can die just like the rest of them. He just happens to have a power that is super useful to get these guys to give them all his cards and doesn't have the moral restraint to keep himself from crossing those lines. It is what it is, now they gotta figure out how they can deal with it

Sunny

This episode we learn nen's "Ryu" technique. Zushi's martial art is called Shingen-Ryu, taught to him by Wing. student of Biskey, and grand-mastered by chairman Netaro. I like to think of this technique as the basis to the nen- martial art.

"Killua's stronger physically?" Remember he opened the Testing Gates at his home up to the 3rd gate. Gon + Leorio + Kurapika all opened just one. It's easy to forget that Killua is physically stronger though, because they're both strong enough to do the things they're doing, so they both just do them side by side
