It's interesting you bringing up the idea that Gon and co. function similarly to the Troupe. To bring things back to the Hunter Exam, every member of our core cast was totally okay with at the very least letting other people die so they could succeed, even if they didn't kill others themselves, Killua excluded of course. With Gon especially, when Killua tells him about being an assassin, or even kills that mass murder dude in the tower, Gon never thinks twice since Killua is his friend. Stuff like this is why I love Zepile's "appraisal" of Gon. On a less serious note, Pakunoda has an ability where she can conjure bullets for her revolver. HMMM I wonder where we've seen that before. I'd also like to point out that when Kurapika told Leorio to drive, he immediately downed his entire sandwich in a single bite.

I'll admit that it can sometimes be a little bit like Deanna Troi from Star Trek, "sensing hostility" when they're screaming at you in battle formation.

24:40 I want to make two 'yojijukugo' comments in a row, sorry, but writing it out, it's really hard to explain, haha. Basically there's a really corny pun at the end during the Huntercyclopedia. Gon says that, once anyone is within a certain range, Nobunaga's ability is to be able to cut them down with a single strike. The expression for that is 一刀両断 "ittou ryoudan" (one-blade, split-in-half). But then the "-ryoudan" in that sounds like "ryodan" (旅団, the Troupe). So, it's like "one blade, Troupe". And then they "joudan" (just a joke). Ittou ryoudan --> ryodan? --> joudan! Har har.

When gon said something to the troupe and they all so obviously looked down it reminded me of one of my favorite gags of the manga. Gon is so short that a lot of the panels he's in where other people are next to him, they'll only show the top of his hair, even if Gon is the one that's talking LOL
