2024-01-12 02:58:15 +0000 UTCI find it interesting how Leorio starts using Kansai-ben (the local dialect from the Osaka-Kobe area) only when he's hustling (10:22 when he says 'maido' to mean "thank you," etc.). You'd think that Osaka locals would take offense to that, but if anything, my experience has been that they play it up, haha. I absolutely hate, hate, hate haggling. If I were with Gon and Killua in this arc, I would be having a thoroughly miserable time.

I feel like it would have been easy to just say that he also learned Nen in a super short time like the rest of the crew, but from the start Leorio's main goal was becoming a doctor. It makes sense that he would know less about Nen if he was busy studying this whole time. And not to say that Nen's only use is combat, we've already seen the insane medical potential of Nen from the Phantom Troupe woman who fixed Hisoka's arms. So there's still a very good incentive for him to learn more about Nen, even if he lacks the knowledge at the moment.
