I think it should be. My concern is that not all fans seem to have been able to follow it through to its conclusion, which might hurt it's durability long term. It's also "foreign" and animated, which might reduce the amount of mainstream exposure it gets. To me though, it's one of the greatest shows ever and more important to its specific time than anything else I can recall.

2024-01-14 04:05:04 +0000 UTCI think it’s important that they established the whole floor master thing just to ignore it completely. Although there is clearly no problem with this, it establishes that Gon is not after battle for the sake of fighting or strength like a lot of other protagonists, despite the fact that he is here to fight Hisoka in the first place. It shows that these experiences to get stronger are simply goalposts for his final goal of becoming a great hunter to find his dad.

2023-12-06 02:17:29 +0000 UTCI hate to be the guy to ask about an anime on a different vid, but I’m on a deployment right now and probably won’t have another chance to ask my question for the AoT Q&A so I’d like to at least try to ask it here: Do you think that Attack on Titan will be regarded as one of the most important pieces of media in modern history?

2023-12-05 21:01:47 +0000 UTCIt's not like Gon and Killua already had that aura flowing outside their bodies - all the aura nodes were opened when Wing directed his aura at them, AND also the nodes on their eyes were opened. So it's both an awakening of their Nen and also their ability to see it.

2023-12-05 05:42:16 +0000 UTCThere is definitely a comparison to be made to The Force with Nen. Both of them reside in everyone, but you either have to be extremely talented or just train a lot, or both to be able to utilize it. I like the concept Wing points out, about Nen being unconsciously used by naturally gifted people. The coolest part about Nen is how diverse its applications are. Already we have someone using Nen to control spinning tops. Just imagine what else can be done.

2023-12-05 03:34:38 +0000 UTC"Brush your teeth, unripe fruit" seems to be a message from Hisoka drawn on the board in the background. Hisoka called them "aoi kajitsu" or green/unripe fruit before, so I guess it's his way of ensuring a proper "ripening" process? Haha. The holes thing didn't sound quite so unfortunate in Japanese. The word 精孔 you saw on screen during the explanation is borrowed from the concept of pressure points or chakra centers in acupuncture or general Taoist philosophy. It was pretty hilarious in your reading though, and agreed that I don't think we needed the midichlorians but to make it work.
