St8 Official Trailer is Out, April Release + Updates!

Hi Patrons,

Today is a happy day, for it is the day that the Gildedguy & the Dragon of Mar Official Trailer released! This is the first big, big look at what the team and I have been cooking up for the past 1.5 years. I hope to talk more about this and provide a few updates on the production in this post, so read on!

The BIG Trailer!

Just a couple hours ago we put out the official trailer and release month (April 2024) for the new animation. I hope it did a good job of hyping you guys up and letting yall know how far along we are in the project. 

We're really pushing for a long 30-minutes of quality animation, something for a nice and substantial viewing.

Shortly after the trailer came out, I did a live Q&A session with YouTube & Twitch chats, so be sure to give that a listen if you want the latest updates on Story 8, the channel, and what's been going on behind the scenes.

It includes fantastic footage of wildlife too.

Putting together the high definition trailer has forced me to look at some of the post-production tasks, and the entire project as a whole:

- Roughly 80% done overall

- Chapter 6 of 7 is about 40% done

- Strong majority of rough animation, cleanup, and backgrounds are done

- Compositing, final polish, cameos, credits, and more scoring still need to be done

Considerably more green since the last time! We are becoming more productive now that the holidays are over.

If you're curious about the specifics of where we are, we are currently trying to wrap up the bulk of the rough animation and cleanup for Chapter 6 - A, and are heading into the rough animation for Chapter 6B. These parts of the chapter feature new camera angles and background elements, which we've already prepared concept art for. There's going to be a lot of great animation coming up, which for the sake of spoilers, we must sadly keep secret.
