Chapter 6 Animation & Autumn (Oct 2023 Update #1)

Hi Patrons!

Here is an autumn update regarding Gilded doings and happenings.

New Keychain Designs

A new batch of keychain designs is in the works - we already have the main charm art ready and polished and we're now working on the card backing designs. With luck, they'll be available in the Etsy shop by the end of November. When Story 8 premieres, we'll be giving away coupons so that Name Credit Patrons can nab a free keychain of their choosing!

Story 8 Animation Update

A major milestone has been reached involving Story 8 - an additional 5 minutes of storyboarding has been drafted up and finalized, allowing the project to move ahead into the character animation phase for the current chapter (6). Part of that effort was identifying which scenes would use more 3D modelling, which is also being worked on.

We are currently in the middle of wrapping up animation for Chapter 6 - A. Here is a breakdown of where we're at:

Chapter 1 - Done
Chapter 2 - Done
Chapter 3 - Done
Chapter 4a, 4b, 4c - Done (Backgrounds to Polish)
Chapter 5 - Done
Chapter 6a - Animation almost done, Backgrounds To Do
Chapter 6b, 6c - To Do

Again, I will be keeping the details of the final two chapters relatively secret, including for when I'm streaming. Speaking of the stream, we've updated it to match the new season of oranges and yellows! Come by if you just want to relax and listen to some music.

I'll try mixing in some side work into the streams, such as preparing another GildedGala multiplayer experience, and doing more commissions.

The idea behind the new gala will be a more themed venue, centered around Story 8's major environments and set pieces. Story 8 itself will get full priority though!
