Official Poster, Speedpaint & Animation Updates

Hi patrons! Here is an update on things going on.

New Speedpaint & Poster

For the past couple weeks I've been recording myself on stream drawing the Official "Gildedguy & the Dragon of Mar" Poster. I'm happy to share the final results with you guys!

Full resolution versions will be made available to T2 Patrons soon.

Rebonkulous did an excellent job applying ink & shading to my linework, all inspired by the animation's color palettes themselves (which were designed by Bokskat). 

The artwork itself depicts several major and minor locations, characters, and events that occur during the story. I'm particularly pleased with how the composition of the wings and layout of elements turned out!

Working on this poster makes me want to do more theatrical style posters for the previous stories. If only I had more time!

Story 8 Animation Progress

There are just a few remaining scenes of Chapter 4 to finish, and soon we'll be heading into Chapter 5 of 7. This puts us at roughly 14 and a half minutes of raw footage complete! For comparison, the previous animation was 12 minutes long with 3 minutes of credits.

Even with that metric in mind, I believe that we have yet to hit our full stride. Currently, a few of our team members are busy with summer obligations coming around. This includes myself, as I have a full plate of work during this season.

This makes it a good time for the production to plan and prepare for the aforementioned "Chapter 5", which contains a fair bit of character animation and new environment work to do.

I'm always conflicted when a project reaches this stage, as it contains heavier spoilers, which I know some of you have been trying to avoid.

Going forward, I'll try my best to provide detailed updates that don't go too much into the story.

Small Twitch Overlay Update

As usual, I've been updating the stream overlay to bring it to full functionality. One of the updates was a change to the lighting system to support dynamic "time of day". As a result, the stream looks a lot more ambient, and even has flying lights (fireflies)!
