And I feel especially bad for the lovely people who did appreciate the audio and got insulted and downvoted on the post. So, yeah. Live and learn, right? 😩Thanks so much for taking your time to write your thoughts here. It's actually a pleasure to read a lucid and kind criticism! Because - like you say - it comes from a place of care. And thank-you so much for the continued support, and the reminders of some of the lovely moments we've all had on the page here, working through little issues and feelings and thoughts. Judging by the comments, I seem to have missed a lot more than just tier changes… I’m so sorry to hear about the Hub block, especially if 90% of new subscribers come from there. I hope they fix it soon and inform you what was exactly the problem. If it’s really the stock images and the sound effects, then please continue uploading without them, because those are the last on the list of things that make your work stand out and draw people in. The audio that made me come to your page was “How it feels for me” and it’s all you, just you. Of course I switched my custom pledge to the new tier. Independent of this situation that drove you to increase your tier, considering the quality, quantity and uniqueness of your content, 5€ a month is both absolutely on its own and relatively to other erotic work, a bargain! About the controversy of the previous audio... I just heard it and read the Reddit comments. Something I learned about you being on your page for so long is that you are a writer and a story teller interested in exploring non-black-and-white, complicated, and even morally questionable themes. There are some stories incorporated in your audios that I recognized would never in real life lead to sex or if they were written in a novel as romantic would feel jarring. But that’s the thing - you want to tackle a sensitive topic, but you have to make it erotic AND you have about 20 minutes to do it. Then there’s the element of fantasy where the whole point is to cherry pick aspects that we find useful and discard the rest. I as a listener have all that context and all those restrictions in mind and can therefore enjoy the audios as they are. And just as I can experience a sense of empowerment and catharsis in a CNC scenario, I can enjoy an idea of love appearing in my life and sweeping all my worries away with humor and passion in a su1cide scenario, even though neither of those couldn’t be further from the truth in real life. On the other hand, I’m aware that I might feel much different if I was a r@pe victim or struggled with su1cide thoughts. Listening to the audio, I recognized the problematic elements that Redditors (the ones with constructive criticisms) brought up, because I have a family member who was suicid@l, and I can absolutely see how triggering the audio would’ve sounded to them. So, the mistake was not properly warning the listeners, and tagging the audios with these kinds of taboo subjects like you already do your other sensitive topics will prevent this problem from happening again. Which brings me to a whole other beast I noticed in this situation that I want to mention as well - the way these things are addressed online. Whenever I made a mistake or had a lapse in judgement in my life, I had the luxury of being confronted about it by people who care about me and give me benefit of doubt and could learn from it in that place of safety and privacy. Sharing your creative work online is a vulnerable position to be in in and of itself, tackling delicate subjects gives it another layer of that, and then to be so quickly accused of callousness towards the most vulnerable people whom you were trying to help sounds like a fucking nightmare. So, I want to give you an external reminder of all the times you’ve shown genuine consideration for the needs of your listeners, shown compassion for their traumas in your choice of topics and the way you approached those topic with their input in mind, and how many people I’ve seen you help over the two and a half years that I’ve been here. You’re a good man. 💜 As for changes - they’re scary, but they’re good too, and we’re here for the ride with you. 😌
