I’ve talked about how much I appreciate all that you do and how much comfort that you’ve brought to me. Now, I’m feeling like the worst has passed (knock on wood) and can tell you exactly why. I have a rare disease that causes lung issues. At the beginning of December, I got really sick (first time in a number of years). For over a month, the coughing was so bad that I couldn’t sleep. At the worst of it, I was drifting off for maybe 15-20 seconds at a time all night long. The sleep deprivation can drive you mad after a while. During the day, I would force myself to carry on with work, family, holidays, and the rest of life’s responsibilities to the best of my ability while juggling doctor visits and a truckload of medications. At night, though, when everyone else was sleeping, I’d try desperately and fail miserably to get any kind of rest to recharge. As you might imagine, you go to a lonely and dark place pretty quickly like that 😔. Your voice in my ears, beckoning me to a beautiful fantasy world, is the thing that got me through it. When I was at my very lowest point, you helped me escape to a place where I could find just enough solace to rebuild a little bit of strength each night. For that alone, I will be forever grateful ❤️❤️.
