Okay now that I’ve been able to properly listen to the audio, I really enjoyed it!! The asmr tingles were incredible and I loved the sweet whispers. It was a nice strangers to lovers moment. A weird thing I’ve realized about myself while listening to these audios is anytime there’s a stranger to lovers scenario, I always frame it as “oh I’m roleplaying with my lover.” I’m not really sure why I do that? The idea of having sex with strangers is obviously not something I’m against (LOL) but in these audios that have more to do with “professions” (sex therapist, this, etc.) I find them almost easier to listen to with that lens? If I had trauma there that would make more sense but I don’t have a rhyme or reason. I usually don’t think about it like that when it comes to bar/party audios. Love that these audios help me figure out what to talk about in therapy! LOL 😂

Hello lovely people! I’ve been away for a bit dealing with some stressful things, but also something good happened today and I would like to share. For the last month or so, I have been giving end of life care for my precious ratties Lily and Rose. They were both in decline from old age and different health issues. Last week, we took them to the vet and all agreed that putting them down would be the most humane thing. I loved them with all my heart as I do all my rats. I’ve had many and it’s always heartbreaking to lose them. My partner and I were going to wait a bit to get more, but that empty cage echoed with lonely silence. We decided that filling the cage once more would help our hearts heal from losing Lily and Rose. Tag suggestion: respectful/professional objectification. In "Objectifying Each Other" and the corresponding comment section, we discussed the nuances of positive objectification. That there is a freedom in being a body only. Since you pointed out that theme, I've noticed it in a number of your audios. I could imagine someone wanting to filter by that. This isn't going to be a new statement, but it's really hard to imagine someone assessing my body (without taking into consideration my winning personality and remarkable intelligence) and finding it irresistible. You write these scenarios really well and it's always interesting to discover my own hang ups. This was one I kind of... Disassociated from. I absolutely love when you manage to compliment our body without using a specific characteristic that a listener could hear and think "well, he's not talking about me." Like, how you never talk about skin color (except for a pink p***y) and very rarely mention hair length or texture. I'm pretty sure you're doing this on purpose so I just want to point out your use of "perfect symmetry" in this audio. I think you said that while measuring the listener’s arms. Of all the things my brain was willing to suspend disbelief for, it couldn't believe that I would be perfectly symmetrical when measured with a caliper. I don't think anyone would be perfectly symmetrical. And that's fine! I don't think my asymmetry is unattractive nor do I think it is necessarily unattractive in others. In other body appreciation audios, there is a sense that we are perfect “to you” or that our body is irresistible because it’s part of the person you love. In this scenario, we have no other personality for you to compliment so I can understand wanting to make a comment about the measurements. However, I think there was an opportunity for you to acknowledge a bit of asymmetry or a different ratio can be enticing. There’s this art critic/presenter I really like, Waldemar Januszczak, who has a ton of stuff on YouTube. His piece on Botticelli’s Venus gets at what I’m trying to describe. TLDR; Botticelli’s Venus is anatomically strange. Her neck is long and at a weird angle, one shoulder is too low, and one of her feet is cramped up like an old woman’s. But she is undeniably gorgeous. I would have liked to hear in this audio, the artist take our measurements and mutter under his breath “just like…” and then go into something about the different beautiful shapes of women in art. (Personally, I like to refer to myself as Rubenesque.) Despite my critique, I really enjoyed this audio and had fun with it. I also enjoyed the train of thought it inspired and getting to track down that video.

So funny story, my great uncle was a portrait artist. In the 1950s through the 1970s he did the portraits of all the governors of Maryland. He also did the portraits of everyone in my family except for me. Not intentionally, we were close but after his wife died he stopped painting. He also did tons of nudes of my aunt. So the entire first 1/2 of the audio I was trying to forcefully keep images of my aunt and uncle out of my head! Not a sexy image lol! But once the measurements stopped, I finally got into it. 😂😂
