King Triton absolutely killed the latest character poll! Since I've already drawn a comic with the big daddy showing Prince Eric the business, I figured it was time to show the King taken down a peg or sixty.
I was thinking hard about what might make for a good foe for the King, and given his realm under the sea (and Ursula's tentacles), I have to admit my mind went to the Lovecraftian monsters of the deep. A creature that would see King Triton's claim to sovereignty over the seas and laugh. With an added dose of phallic masculinity, of course. But don't worry. I'm sure King Triton can hold his own where all the other mermen of Atlantica have failed. Right?
