The cars suffered many mechanical problems and the company went out of business after only 2 years. Gigawatt is mispronounced throughout the film as you noticed. Ronald Reagan was an actor. When Marty first goes into town in 1955 there is a movie poster for "Cattle Queen of Montana" starring Ronald Reagan and Barbara Stanwyck. I love all 3 Back to the Future movies. Please complete the trilogy. (The first Matrix movie is the only good one of that series IMO but YMMV.)
