Here’s the latest news.
Work:
I returned the RTX 5000 to the seller and am currently waiting for the refund so I can buy a 4000 series card, which works perfectly with all my software.
In the meantime, I picked up two small RTX 3060s that do the job quite well. They’re a bit light for large-scale Daz renders, but I can finally make progress again.
NVIDIA’s cards and drivers really messed up my PC.
As far as I’m concerned, that was the last straw, I no longer plan to buy any NVIDIA cards, game over.
Radeon/AMD is two to three times cheaper and just as powerful, and I’m starting to get pretty comfortable with Blender, especially when it comes to animations.
Daz is a great tool, but its reliance on Iray could become a serious issue for them in the coming months.
Games:
A huge thank-you to my friend who’s been there to help me move forward, and of course, thank you all for your patience.
He has his own work but still took time from his schedule to help push The Motel forward and assist with images and animations.
To create VP9 animations, I’m using CUDA/PyTorch, and just like Iray, it doesn’t work with the new generation of NVIDIA cards. Just great…
The Motel:
The game has been resized, and the NTR route ending is nearly complete.
The Motel – Special Edition:
The next version has been completely reworked based on your feedback and criticism.
I took your suggestions seriously: fewer dialogues, more scenes, and so on.
Please keep in mind that this is a special edition, not a full game with an intense plot or a long story.
It’s a compilation of hot moments with the characters you selected, which I couldn’t include in the main version of The Motel.
Today, I have plenty of material (images and animations). Once I’ve integrated everything into Ren’Py, I believe I’ll be able to release the first part fairly quickly.
More information will be shared on release day.
To sum up, I’ve been fully operational again for a few days now, and I’ve got a ton of work ahead of me.
I sincerely apologize for the long wait over the past few months.
As long as there’s no new update, you’re always welcome to request a refund, it’s completely understandable.
Take care of yourselves and the people you love.
