[WOTD] Yoga session in version 0.10.0

As the title says, in this post, I want to show you a bit of the process of one of the moments/scenes from the upcoming version 0.10.0.

Without a doubt, these scenes were the most challenging to create so far. They took me a lot of time and several attempts, as I discarded a few renders that I initially planned to use. I would like to tell you the main reasons why these scenes were so difficult to make.

The first reason is the matter of poses. Not only did I have to create the poses within the editor and create variables for them (so that not all characters look exactly the same), but I also had to conduct thorough research about yoga, read, look at images, and watch videos to create a good sequence of scenes with accurate postures and dialogues.

Oh, and before I finish this point, I must give an honorable mention to the hairstyles of Jill, Asagi, and Zaira, which were a real challenge on some scenes.

The second challenge was the scenario. Due to the numerous objects, characters, lights, and shadows, the editor worked much slower than usual. The floor reflection was also quite bothersome in some situations, as there were renders where things were reflected that shouldn't be, or some outfits weren't fully reflected. While the shadows, in general, worked as expected, I had to do several renders in some scenes to compare and achieve the best shading.

The third point concerns the outfits. As you have seen in the images, I took the time to give each character a unique outfit. The "three protagonists" of this scene sequence (Asagi, Erika, and Jill) have outfits that clearly differentiate them from each other. As always, I strive to make each outfit match the character, reflect their personality, and follow a specific color palette.

Erika's outfit went through a drastic change. Here's an image from version 0.8.0 so you can see the outfit she was initially going to wear.

Asagi's outfit was the simplest to create, while Jill's was the most complicated due to its complexity, and I even created 3 or 4 more variations that didn't convince me in the end.

The fourth point is related to the first one, as it also required previous research, and creating the postures took a lot of time and patience. From the beginning, I planned to include a "moment alone" with one of the girls, and this would be a decision made by the player. Of course, I didn't want to do the same thing for all three options with just slight dialogue changes, that's not my style. Each moment is entirely different and will lead to a different activity with each girl. Since there has been a lot of conversation with Jill prior to the yoga session, her moment alone is a bit shorter than Erika's, while Asagi's moment is longer than Erika's since she and the protagonist haven't had any interaction in version 0.9.0, and I wanted to compensate for that, especially for the devoted Asagi fans or those who simply wish to get to know her more.

This last point is something that arose from an idea I had just yesterday, and it is that I will not only include "three options" for the "moment alone"... but I will also add a fourth option, which is the "harem option," which will be automatically unlocked if we have made the right choices to go down the harem route.

I am still working on these final scenes, but once I finish them, I will have completed this entire sequence of yoga session scenes, which I must say has been quite a challenge!

However, I am still far from finishing version 0.10.0, but I am getting closer every day <3

I hope that what I've shown you in this post, the scenario, the outfits, and some scenes, has excited you. Personally, I am very eager to finish this version and hear everyone's opinions about the inclusion of new characters, Nora (Alune's aunt), and Zaira (Asagi's mother and Erika's sister).

Como dice el título, en este post quiero enseñarles un poco el proceso de uno de los momentos/escenas de la siguiente versión 0.10.0.

Sin lugar a dudas, estas escenas fueron las más complicadas de crear hasta el momento. Me llevaron mucho tiempo y también varios intentos, ya que he descartado unos cuantos renders que en un principio iba a colocar. Me gustaría contarles las principales razones de por qué estas escenas fueron tan difíciles de hacer.

La primera de ellas es la cuestión de las poses/posturas. No solo tuve que crear las poses dentro del editor y crear variables para las mismas (para que no todos los personajes se vean exactamente iguales), sino que además tuve que hacer previamente una buena investigación acerca del yoga, leer, mirar imágenes y videos, para así crear una buena secuencia de escenas con posturas y diálogos con información completamente verídica. 

Oh, y antes de terminar con este punto, debo hacerles una mención honorífica a los peinados de Jill, Asagi y Zaira, que fueron un auténtico quebradero de cabeza en algunas ocasiones.

Lo segundo es el escenario que, al tener tantos objetos, personajes, luces y sombras, hacía que el editor fuera mucho más lento de lo normal.

El "reflejo" del suelo también fue bastante molesto en algunas situaciones, ya que hay renders en los cuales se reflejan cosas que no deberían reflejarse, o algunos outfits no se reflejaban del todo.

Las sombras en general funcionaban de manera normal, pero en algunas escenas tuve que hacer varios renders para comparar de qué manera quedaban mejor las sombras/sombreado.

El tercer punto tiene que ver con los outfits, y es que como ya habrán visto en las imágenes, me he tomado el tiempo de hacer que cada personaje tenga un outfit único.

Las "tres protagonistas" de toda esta secuencia de escenas (Asagi, Erika y Jill) tienen outfits que se diferencian claramente entre sí. Y como siempre, busco que cada outfit sea acorde al personaje, refleje su personalidad y cumpla con una paleta de colores específica.

El outfit de Erika fue cambiado drásticamente. Aquí les dejo una imagen de la versión 0.8.0 para que observen el outfit que ella iba a llevar inicialmente.

El outfit de Asagi fue el más sencillo de hacer, mientras que el más complicado fue el de Jill debido a su complejidad, y porque he creado unas 3 o 4 variantes más que no me terminaron convenciendo.

Este cuarto punto se relaciona con el primero, ya que también requirió una investigación previa, y la creación de las posturas me llevó mucho tiempo y paciencia.

Desde el principio, tenía planeado incluir un "momento a solas" con alguna de las chicas, y que esto sea una decisión del jugador. Por supuesto, no iba a hacer exactamente lo mismo para las tres opciones pero cambiando ligeramente los diálogos, ese no es mi estilo. Cada momento es completamente diferente, y nos llevará a hacer una actividad diferente con cada chica. Ya que ha habido bastante conversación con Jill previamente a la sesión de yoga, su momento a solas es un poco más corto que el de Erika, mientras que el de Asagi es más extenso que el de Erika, ya que ella y el protagonista no han tenido interacción alguna en la versión 0.9.0, y pues quería compensar eso para aquellos fans acérrimos de Asagi o para aquellos que simplemente desean conocerla más.

Este último punto es algo que surgió de una idea que tuve apenas ayer, y es que finalmente no incluiré "tres opciones" para el "momento a solas"... sino que además agregaré una cuarta opción, y esa es la "opción harem", la cual se desbloqueará automáticamente si hemos hecho lo correcto para ir por esa ruta harem.

Aún estoy trabajando en estas últimas escenas, pero una vez termine con ellas, ya habré finalizado con toda esta secuencia de escenas de la sesión de yoga, que debo decir ha sido todo un reto!

Sin embargo, aún estoy lejos de terminar esta versión 0.10.0, pero cada vez estoy más cerca <3

Espero que lo que les enseñe en este post, el escenario, los outfits y algunas escenas, les haya entusiasmado. Personalmente, tengo muchas ganas de terminar esta versión y saber qué opinan todos acerca de la inclusión de nuevos personajes, Nora (la tía de Alune) y Zaira (la madre de Asagi y hermana de Erika).
