Glad you liked it! This was mainly a team building exercise using animatics to tell a short film story within a weeks time. Still it was good fun, its possible I might work with Pesimist again and probably other artists given the opportunity. As for the themes, you can probably thank Pess for that particular theme, they were very keen on a completely different design to work on and I kept a wide variety of options available so eldritch horror style body horror did indeed become the prime theme. Its a bit hard to see since there's a lot of scribbles but the story depicts the Osteomancer (a sort of bone mancer) sacrificing opposition for their bones leaving a pit filled with organic matter, but incidentally a sort of new jellyfish life form rose out of that. Since jellyfish are among the species types in the animal kingdom that don't have bones it seemed sensible to have something like that consume the remnants of a race for its own ascendancy. The meanings behind all this isn't too involved but I like to think it was a nice reaction to the persuit of bone collecting.

Just wow. This is so awesome. Will there be more? Or is this just going to be an animatic. I really hope to see more I'm a massive horror fan and I get so many "The Thing" or "The Blob" vibes and I'm here for it. Love body horror
