The Pale Blue Eagle Ravi, Seiran, is the hammer that strikes the bullet. Seiran’s character card emphasises “again.” She draws cards when she fails to hit, and attacks again when she does hit. 

The Orange Eagle Ravi, Ringo, is the rabbit that eats the dango. Ringo is all about Dango, a resource she creates at the start of the game that gives her free “Dango Influence” activations. Other players can steal the Dango but they can’t destroy them. That would be wasteful!

Doremy Sweet, Ruler of Dreams, controls others through their dreams. Essentially this is a free Action card without direct retaliation. Her Spell Card, “Dream Catcher”, denies others their master plans. What a cruel nightmare.

It’s always opposite-day for the One Winged Amanojaku, Kishin Sagume. Sagume is all about cancels in Danmaku!!, ensuring that we will forever get questions about them. She upgrades all Invocations to Bombs and draws a card when anyone cancels a Spell Card. Her unique Spell Card effect un-cancels Spell Cards!! Please direct all stack questions to Mark Rosewater.

Back when we originally designed Clownpiece, an alpha tester called her “frustrating.” We asked what they meant, and they said “I mean it’s frustrating to play against her, isn’t that what you intended?” Oh, yes. This Fairy of Hell drives players to madness by canceling their Dodge cards. She’s trading defense for offense here though, so she tends to overextend and get herself shot down.

Junko has traditionally been the most popular character in Danmaku!!. Players love trading and she lets them do that more. Her Spell Card is a draw-type Spell Card, allowing her to buy more lunatic cards get more danmaku for killing people.

Another popular character, Hecatia Lapislazuli gives players what they need when they need it. Beginning of the game? More danmaku. End of the game? More distance. With her patented Build-A-Spell-Card “Trinitarian Rhapsody”, we don’t see her leaving the favorites anytime soon.
