If you guys are interested or ever had the time you guys should check out the original story (the manhwa) on your own time! Due to the limited number of episodes, there were quite a few changes to the characters and their backstory (especially Harin and Jaeun) in the drama. I kind of wished that they kept with the original reason why Harin went bonkers + the aftermath of what happened to all the characters but with what they had, I think that the drama did a pretty good adaption with the changes

Also when there are comments about the adopted daughter being a piscicopath or when they show her past and she is the villain, it is also related to Korea having a huge prejudice against adoption and single mothers, and the majority of babies in adoption are from single mothers. "Historically, orphans and adoptees in Korea can be targets of negative stereotypes, being perceived by some as less trustworthy or 'incomplete', which can lead to bullying and social exclusion."

I loved the premise and I think the whole psychological thriller aspect of the game itself was so interesting, but I kind of feel like it resolved really poorly and clumsily. And I'm also not saying *every* show has to have a moral message, but given the reception of the show that you talked about in your commentary, I think it all just feels very unfinished and missed the mark on a general theme or message.
