Also, I want to point out why other artists despite of being older in age or older in trainee days got delayed on debuting, it is because SM standard of debuting their artists have many processes to make. That's why fans called SM Entertainment as, THE Standard Entertainment. They are very strict when it comes to their trainees and their potential artists. They need to make sure their dance, their stage presence and especially their vocals are good. Although sometimes they're calculating the group they will released, if this certain trainee is perfect or fit to be with that group. Just like how Johnny from NCT, he trained with EXO but they let him debut with NCT. And sometimes, their trainees even before they decided them to debut, they change entertainment just like, GDragon- trained for 6 years in dancing but he transferred because he wanted to be a rapper instead, and Jessi- she almost debuted with SNSD but she thought that their music didn't align with her style so she quit being a trainee.
