fear definitely plays a huge factor on performance which is why i can’t understand when haters say ‘if she’s so scared she should try harder’ as if that has any correlation. i remember watching kkura’s blackpink vocal performance in pd48 and thinking she sounded amazing mainly cause of her confidence on stage, i can’t imagine the fear she feels now and how that takes away from the enjoyment of performing and can halt any improvement esp when ur constantly in ur own head that much. there’s really an insane lack of empathy with a lot of kpop fans that don’t know how to put themselves in others shoes/ don’t care to.

I don't have kids of my own, but if I did they wouldn't be getting phones until they were in their teens at least. and I'd be making DAMN sure to raise them to know not to bully someone online or otherwise. it's crazy out here

2024-08-07 14:30:48 +0000 UTCi already had so much respect for lsf before this documentary, but after watching it my respect has SKYROCKETED even further. loved everything you guys said about kkura and the girls in general. these girls don't deserve the hate they've been getting, but as Yunjin said, with popularity comes more negative attention. so it's kind of inevitable. can't wait for the comeback at the end of the month now, they're gonna EAT IT UP lol

2024-08-07 12:14:39 +0000 UTCIt was so shocking for me to see her reaction to the unforgiven performance because I vividly remember how I thought her voice sounded so good and she was slaying all the performances. To think she could do even better if people would encourage her instead of hate on her is frustrating. I really hope she gets to a point where she can enjoy singing again because I know she definitely did before. And every performance she puts on, especially Coachella, I was so proud of her and I thought she was really stable

2024-08-07 11:22:29 +0000 UTCso we are fighting for Le Sserafim right? that was my take-away from this documentary. especially since people are using this to hate more. also, the younger someone is allowed online with no restrictions or consequences for their actions, the less they give a damn about what they do or say to others because there is a serious disconnect that they are interacting with other human beings. so, the youngest generations having smartphones from toddlerhood is a severe social barrier for them.

2024-08-07 08:56:39 +0000 UTCOk I just finished the 3 eps. And I agree with everything you said throughout the 3 episodes. Before I go on my Sakura rant i just want to say. I went back and rewatched Coachella week 1 and 2. The fact all of this is filmed before Coachella. Shows how hard kkura has worked to get over that fear of singing in front of people. How she must have had a lot of long talks w her mom/the therapist they’re provided/ and her own self reflection/hard work. To them watch how confident she was during week 1 and how much she shined during that 45 minute set. And then to come back the next week after the hate train and still look confident and have fun. I am sooo proud of her and I am soo proud to be a Miyawaki Sakura fan for life. Now reguarding the hate train on kkura … I think we all agree it’s insane. A lot of other people in the comments we all agree that it’s gross to witness. That no idol should get this unfounded hate for no reason. I don’t think I need to say anything esle that what uv both said and others said. The hate train not just the group, but for each member is insane. It was dying down until the new wave 🌊 came with the Hybe witch drama. Where she named dropped ssamkkura through that pity stunt conference. Along w naming other groups because she knows how fandoms work and knew sayin those false thing would rile up the public. It worked and a lot of crazy stuff they were accused. I know they had a film crew following them at Coachella and when we do get the next documentary it’s going to be hard to watch and see how the hate train and the hybe drama affected the members. If hybe allows it in it. All we can do for our Fimmies is make sure this CRAZY CB the most successful ever for them. To show them FEARNOT got their back no matter what. We are in this LE SSERAFIM shit for life!

2024-08-07 08:56:15 +0000 UTCThe amount of people ive seen using this documentary to hate on them is insane. People saying if sakuras afraid of singing then why did she become an idol. Like dont they realize that theyre the reason shes afraid. This didnt use to be an issue for her but when you have a thousand people telling you you suck at something every day its going to get to you eventually. I even saw people saying that instead of crying she should get vocal lessons…as theyre watching a clip of her in the middle of vocal lessons. This whole thing has been extremely frustating. This whole year really. And like you said i really dont know how they have thr resilience to keep going despite it all. At least i think its getting better now. The comeback might cause another spike of hate but i think we’re past the worst of it for now. Im just extremely proud of the girls for staying strong. I truly could never deal with everything they have to.

2024-08-07 08:10:25 +0000 UTCim really glad this docu is out there for people to see. its really refreshing to see idols being so open and vulnerable despite knowing people out there will use this against them. And they really do see what other people are saying about them . Thats why sakura's coachella performance was the one i feel most proud of and the best that shes ever done. She was so fearless, having so much FUN , enjoying every moment. She was probably one of the most stable and shes sooo confident. And this is the crowd that theyre really unfamiliar with. Its interesting that sakura and chaewon shared the same thoughts at the end there. Really showed their experience and wisdom. What a blessing to have them two tgt in a group. Also thank you for taking the time to react to this! I've been waiting since you were on vacation hahahaha

2024-08-07 07:57:19 +0000 UTCneed to say this, the fact that kkura willing to go through all of these is amazing to me, she didn't have to come back to Korea, she was popular enough to stay in Japan and will have a nice long career to do whatever she wants. She still came back to take all of these punishment is the kind of courage I will never be able to produce or understand. Moreover, Kkura really started her Kpop journey in such late stage made it that much more difficult for her. There is a reason they train idol so young now because they absorb faster and that is the most important age in determining how far you can push and hone in your talent. Look at any sports, or competition skill, they all started way young to have a chance. Kkura's transformation is crazy to me, for someone that follow her since the HKT days, they are 2 completely different person. It has been very disheartening to see how people just dismiss that work and improvement, and also dismiss her entire idol career is why I no longer take those kpop fans seriously when they assign themselves as the judge of everything relate to talent. Everything about sakura is inspiration to me, because there will never be another idol that will go through a career path and journey like her's, is 1 in a million.

2024-08-07 07:29:02 +0000 UTCI always want to fight people on the internet who say anything about Sakura or how hardworking the girls are it's insane. People seem not to understand that being an Idol is more than just singing songs on a stage or being "the most amazing singer", it's so much more than that and there's so much more to it. I hate that just because Sakura doesn't have like Taeyeon level vocals doesn't mean she's bad at singing. And when you add how much fear and no confidence in herself when it comes to singing it's normal that she'd have performances where she isn't singing exactly like a studio recording. The way people just jump on the bandwagon because it's Le Sserafim is crazy, for example, Shuhua from Gidle wasn't confident either and thus didn't have very many lines and didn't sing perfectly every time, especially when she had to take over Soojin's parts. But so many praised her for her trying and getting better that her confidence grew and her voice became even greater and her tone on par with Minnie's and people just for some reason don't realize that double standard they have. Even Momo talked about how people complained she was a bad singer compared to the other members and during trainee days she cried every time she had to go to her vocal lessons and during Encore stages where she was particularly being bullied about it, she avoided being at the front and just walk behind the girls while she did her part really quick. People think that it's okay because they're anonymous and behind a screen to bully people just because and it's infuriating. I thought about it and it's so sad to see the difference of what confidence vs fear can do to an Idol even when recording. When you watch Aespa, New Jeans or Nmixx, etc who get praised by fans all the time for their singing ability they walk into the studio with a smile and do it. Then you have Sakura who has been berated since IZ*One and now worse with Le Sserafim and you can see the anxiety and worry while she was recording that one line for Unforgiven. Hate bandwagons and cancel culture is so out of hand these last few years. Personally, I remember Gidle getting a bunch of hate because Minnie had red hair similar to Lisa's red wig in Hwaa and How You Like That along with the snow setting even though the concepts and songs were completely different; to Aespa debuting and getting a lot of hate for their live stages because "Giselle, NingNing, and Winter weren't good at performing", and saying that only Karina deserved to debut back then and Giselle still gets hate for it a lot either because of performance or dance and Aespa being blamed for "copying" How You Like That choreo in Savage; to ITZY's hate train after Sneakers and their album Checkmate came out and they got so much of it that Chaeryeong even mentions that they were worried and scared to put something out again and people would be mad at them again; to no the Le Sserafim hate train that even extends to 2023 October for Yunjin and no one realizes how much in the wrong they are for it. There's been a lot of Idols out there too who have retired or gone on to acting who do miss aspects of their Idol lives, like performing, meeting fans, and being with their members all the time, so I do like that Sakura and Chaewon have that insight and experience of being an Idol and then not being one for a little while and realizing that as much as they would enjoy being able to go out and be "normal" that they also missed being an Idol and having that busy schedule again. If they didn't they could have retired after IZ*One. Also final thing, I find it so interesting and comforting that when Chaewon talked and asked "Why am I working so hard for?", at the end of episode 3, Yujin also asked herself that question and tried to figure out what motivated her to keep being an Idol with Youngi on her show and I think that speaks a lot to their experience with IZ*One and going from being a member to being Leaders.

It also destroys this nasty myth that idols have it easy, that everything is giving to them and they don't work hard. NONSENSE that I see since I got into kpop since the 2nd gen. These idols are some of the hardest working people and they don't get credit for how tough they are inside and outside. Not asking people to suddenly give them breaks, but how about not judge them in a standard that is higher than politicians, government officials, police officers, you know people that actually have a great amount of actual power to affect lives.

Not a lot of akb48 get the honor of a documentary made after them unless they were part of the Kami 7 and kkura was part of it before they did away w the election after a tragic accident. Speaking on Sakura, A lot of people don’t get that the J-Pop idol industry is different than Kpop. At least from what I’ve seen and have heard other ppl say. For the Japanese idol system, they focus more on fan service and less so on vocals, dance, etc. Heck, iirc all the Japanese trainees on Produce 48 mentioned how they were so surprised by how it is with the Korean idol system. That they actually need to work more on their vocals and dance. But even then, you can still tell how much Sakura has improved since her Japan days. It’s weird that there’s this expectation that she’s should be top tier vocals at this point. Truth is even the most experienced idols can have their days and moments. I’m saying this with her as my bias; is she one of the best? I wouldn’t say so but I like her for how hard working she is for as long as she’s done it, how much she’s fighting through all the bullets being shot at her, and that she’s not giving up at all and never will. I always thought she’s solid enough Like…. Sakura’s been a Japanese idol for 7 years I believe. She’s been a Kpop idol for 4 now; she’s been reworking from scratch ever since she came to Korea. Two different systems imo, but she’s working and getting there so much
