2024-06-04 09:59:56 +0000 UTCSame, the ending crushed me the first time I saw it... couldn't stop thinking about it for a few days afterwards actually. The older Heedo returning to the tunnel with diary in hand is forever going to be one of the most tear-jerking scenes in any show for me.

2024-06-04 06:45:42 +0000 UTCI really appreciate you guys reacting to this show --- first time I saw it that ending scene of Heedo returning to the tunnel with her diary really crushed me, this time it was a little easier but I still teared up because that whole thing Han mentioned about how she didn't have closure until that moment later in her life that whole frigging time. I enjoyed your reactions throughout and your commentary was at times insightful and hilarious and fun. I hope you guys reconsider taking down the drama reactions b/c I'd love to return to them in the future but I respect whatever you guys gotta do.

I had a really good time rewatching it with you guys because I am a big shipper of Heedo/Yurim (and low-key hate our male lead out of similar moral concerns, somehow I find him to be the most immature character in this show). When all the other reactors out there were crazy about Heedo/Yijin, I feel so relieved that someone else felt the same lol

2024-06-04 05:46:46 +0000 UTCI actually feel the same exact way about the breakup😭 and i think it hits harder to me now bc im going through a similar situation as heedo and yijin and when i first watched and was devastated about the breakup i was in a relationship but now that im rewatching it for the first time since then im no longer with that person but its also because its whats best for both of us so now i completely understand why that needed to happen to heedo and yijin :’) my love for this drama has grown so much and has been so healing💜

As someone who also really likes the Heedo/Yurim ship, I agree with your discussion about it at the end, the coding feels incredibly intentional to me, but not in a malicious way, in a way that feels grounded to life like many things in the show. I don't know if you guys read fanfiction, but if you happen to be into that I really recommend the "preparation"/"ship to oblivion" series (147k words) by generalfrings on ao3 in which they're both broken up by the time they meet again in Madrid. It's incredibly well written and well researched, especially Yurim's part that details a lot of what could have gone on in her time with the russian team. Also by the same author, "the ladder" (69k words) picks up right after Yurim gets proposed to, as she deals with confronting the fact that maybe she doesn't actually want to get married to Jiwoong... or to a man at all.

I felt like I'd experienced the break up myself (wow that sounds weird in hindsight lmao). Rewatching it again with you guys, I finally see that, though sad, the break up was the best thing for Hee-do and Yi-jin and I actually enjoyed the ending. So I suppose now, my weird heartbreak over the ending has been healed! So thanks! On another sidenote, if you like slice of life, you'd love Reply 1988. My favourite drama of all time, with Hye-ri in the main role. This drama is Hye-ri's best-known role and is still one of the highest rated K-dramas ever :-)

I love how realistic the story is and how it perfectly conveyed the stories of our youth and how not everything lasts. Some people and things are sometimes just that—a part of our youth. This drama was so loved by many! I still remember when you guys were reacting to Queendom 2, how you were both so surprised to find out there was another WJSN member when Bona was introduced. Now you know why they made her return kinda a big deal 😝 Thank you for this! It was so much fun watching it again with you guys!

The way I always saw it was 2521 just being a story about someone’s life. We don’t always stay friends with the same people or marry our first love. That’s just life. The reasons you said it was your favorite are the reasons it’s my favorite also. LOL You mentioned you were watching Crash Landing. Enjoy! Wish you would still upload that for Tier 2 because I’d watch along too but enjoy it however you want to!
