They went to new york for a brand endorsement photo shoot and picked English names in NYC. Hussey is from that time period. Hussey as Yuna's English name is older than MIDZY, we didn't get our name until July 8, 2019.

2024-04-19 06:42:51 +0000 UTCYup, they chose these English names pretty early on when they were in the US for their debut showcase: Yeji=Lucy, Lia=Julia, Ryujin=Joanne, Chaeryeong=Judy, and Yuna=Hussey (pronounced Hus-say). Julia was Lia's English name when she lived in Canada, so she chose Lia for her stage name (real name Choi Jisu), Minda and Samantha must have been the other names in contention for Yeji and Yuna, Ryujin's cousin's name is Joanne so she took that as her English name as well, Chaeryeong got teased during a livestream because Judy sounded like a grandma name so this episode is where we first learned of her name change to Serena, and Yuna's favorite actress back then was Olivia Hussey, so she decided to take her last name as her English name. Extra in the best way, Yuna is.
