2024-04-09 05:45:38 +0000 UTCSome broadcast/variety background: "gae" is basically a slang for a swearword/start of a swearword, so most people on tv says "gangaji" instead of Gae. Yunjin and the other Korean speakers were trying to correct Sakura into saying the broadcast appropriate term, but Sakura did not understand the nuance (since she practically doesn't speak the language at that time). For example, in Everyone's Kitchen (a cooking reality show that Sakura was in during IZ*ONE), she didn't know the gender division of hyung vs unnie. [Sidenote: If you like food/cooking and awkward Sakura who can't speak Korean trying to fit in with other Korean celebrities, watch this reality series. Wendy was a guest on it and Sakura was literally fangirling.] Unfortunately, none of the IZ*ONE girlies were on Running Man except for Wonyoung near disbandment. IVE did have all 6 girls on an episode though and LSF had Sakura/Chaewon/Kazuha on on recently.
