Patreon to Discord Idea
Added 2025-09-13 11:49:16 +0000 UTCSo, I have a scalper among my Patreon Subs whose been uploading all my stuff to another site. Claimed to be doing it for archival purposes, but you know. That's bullshit and I'm a relatively small IF creator, so?
I am thinking of linking discord soon, and putting everything on there instead, but I myself don't like having to join a discord to get access to things. If put into a category that's just discord things, that have a separate room if people want to chat, etc. I'll still send out emails for when things go in, as well as notify the roles that come with being on certain tiers.
So, if that was a thing, would you be happy with that set up or not?
I'd genuinely not want to do this, but I hate having my work stolen.
EDIT: DW!!! Genuinely, I'd rather not check a discord to get my patreon stuff either, I'm mainly just proving a point that people don't want to do that.

One of my favourite artists had to do this because her art kept getting stolen and uploaded and she's had to deal with a direct decline in subs to her Patreon. Genuinely heart breaking and it's quite annoying because all they're doing it disincentivizing people from making exclusive work.
