Void Orb
Added 2024-10-21 21:13:59 +0000 UTCA blend file with the Void Orb geometry node group inside for Blender 4.x.
A Void Orb similar to the Void Soul from Destiny 2. It is made entirely from geometry nodes and material nodes.
If you are a beginner to Blender Geometry Nodes, dissecting this asset may help you learn a few tricks. Its commented and organized to be as understandable as I could make it without explaining every single node.
Each and every part of the orb can be enabled or disabled. It is divided into four parts, each with their own individual settings:
- Accretion Disc
- Black Hole
- Void Cloud
- Particle Simulation
My main goals in designing this were:
- Game accuracy
- Looks good from any angle, even while animated
- Visual style
- Performance
