I think the main part to make it look animeish - are the eyes + hair (I've noticed that in anime style artists are drawing them in specific way, where almost every hair stroke have it's own meaning and volume). Pluus.. I am giving more attention to the whole work idea, so it's looking good all together & each part enhancing visual effect of the one thing or another! And to the last note - I'd say that past-render effects (noise, color correction, etc) - are a magic tools which are super powerful and helping to achieve the needed result/mood. I hope it was helpful in a bit <3 OHH ALMOST FORGOT! for this specific piece - I was trying to achieve the closest "anime clouds" as I could - they are a super important detail in this piece which is enhancing animeish effect here!
