Him realizing Spriggan was gonna burst too, then tightly gripping his bey wasn't a sign of him trying? If he was holding back, he wouldn't act that way at all. If he wasn't trying and was just seeing Bel’s potential, he wouldn't be upset at the end but he clearly was. It's just the harsh truth, and yes it's clearly BS of them to do this. I was in the same boat as you when this was airing weekly, saying Shu just wasn't really trying. But now, I just need to come to the conclusion that it's just all for advertisement for the beys, nothing more.

Now seeing others react to Burst from start and up to this point, seeing all the legends get downgraded drastically while seeing the reactors upset and mad is now just funny more than anything. I take back what I said last episode, I wanna see more of this. It’s just funny now seeing you’re upset 24/7. 💀
