You always make me reflect on the technical details of the job and know if I expressed what I wanted to do well, many times it seems that you read my mind when you describe the details and it makes me remember what I was thinking while painting the character. Oooh, I really like the colours in this piece! It looks so soft and tranquil with the warm tones of Power's hair and skin set against the cool grey background 🧡🤍. I also like that some of the grey has a subtle blue tint to it, adding even more contrast to the scene. The silhouetted shapes in the background, with soft light spilling in looks gorgeous too. I really like the textures of the wall, with how Power's shadows fade into the grey, with these lovely, painterly brush strokes. Looking at Power herself, the lighting looks so nice, with that soft, warm sunlight bathing one side of her hair, as well as her back and bum. The contrast between the soft lighting and the larger areas of shadow across Power's front and left-side planes are striking and do a great job accentuating her forms. Looking at her hair specifically, I really love the area of light on the side of her head and how it fades smoothly into the shadows. The strands of hair on her fringe look terrific too, with that clear contrast in light and dark tones, as well as their painterly textures. I also really like the subtle colouring on the hair that falls behind Power. The way it is tinted that pale grey colour from the wall is a great detail. The contrast in tone on the hair is lovely and the grey seeping into the hair really makes her feel like a part of this environment with how the bounce-lighting affects her 🥰 The soft textures of her white bra are really nice, particularly on the breasts themselves which look so smooth and subtly rendered. I also like the creases and folds in the bra and I especially like all of the little shadows cast onto her skin, making the clothing pop against it. Her shorts are especially nice, the large areas of bright light contrast so well with the dark shorts, making that area look very striking. The way the light and shadow each wrap over the shapes of her bum gives it such perfectly sensual definition. I especially like the way you've rendered the overlapping shapes of her bum-cheeks, since we are seeing them at an angle. The black trim on the bottom of the shorts looks really nice too with the smooth textures and blending of the subtly brighter tones on them. Power's actual body looks beautiful too! The textures of her skin look so very smooth and your great use of occlusion shadows means areas that touch are able to pop from each other. Like the fingers that hold onto her arm, the shadow that the upper arm casts onto her other wrist, the shadow from her breast onto her arm and the cast shadow between her thighs, wrapping over one thigh and giving it even more definition. The bright lighting running down her jaw, neck, back, bum and right thigh do a lovely job contrasting with the shadows and adding definition to her. The bright light on her upper hand is quite striking too and you did a lovely job painting both hands. All of the fingers look great with how they bend and the various plane changes are well painted too 😸 Lastly, her face just looks adorable too. I love her big eyes, with her irises looking quite striking with the strange looking pupil and bright shine spot on it. The light on her jaw and nose really makes those areas pop too and she just looks really cute too 🥰 Also, this is purely a silly, personal thing... every time I see the name of the character, Power, I think of this 😹 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C0SjUfzl04c In the Megami Tensei and Persona games, there are demons called Power too. Every single time I read their name, my brain screams "It's about drive, it's about power!". I don't know what that says about me 😹 But seriously though, this painting is gorgeous! I love the subtle colour interactions, such as on her hair and the breast that's further behind. The character is beautifully painted and looks so cute and sensual too. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 All of the biggest, warmest hugs in the world!
