2022-06-06 23:59:02 +0000 UTCOh Didi, this has turned out beautifully! ๐ฅฐ๐ฅฐ๐ฅฐ๐ฅฐ๐ฅฐ I love the colours here, with the warm tones of Jane's clothes, skin and her vibrant red cape relly popping against the blue sky. The scene looks terrific with lightning bolts streaking across the scene, while her cloak and hair rise and billow with great dynamism and energy. I do also like the rendering on the rock she's standing on, the rough, painterly texture and contrasting tones give it great definition ๐ธ As for Jane herself, the cape itself is fantastic! You know how much I love when you paint big, rippling, folding materials and this is no different. The definition on the cape is great and I really like the texture, with a mix of smooth shine and rough, painterly textures. The deep creases and cast shadows where material folds on itself give it a lot of depth and I really like where the edges of the material are tinted blue, adding contrast and even more definition โค๏ธ๐ All of Jane's clothes look terrific too, there's a lot of great texture here! The metal breast-plate has a beautifully shining and smooth texture and I love how the colours blend on the breasts, with bright white lighting, dark shadows and hints of blue and red mixed in. The corset is really nice too with it's smooth, shining texture and again, I really like how you have red and blue tones mixed in from both the sky and nearby cape. I love the belt as well, it's got that smooth shine that I love, where it looks like the light and dark tones smear and mix into each other. The edge-lighting both on the top and bottom of the belt really let it pop too. The blue edge-lighting on top is a great contrast to the corset above, while the bottom pops greatly with it's thin, brown edge-light and the cast shadow beneath that. The sashes flowing around and over her legs also look lovely with their rippling, twisting folds and I really like the leather wraps on her calves. Once again, the mix of blue and red edge-lighting is just fantastic, with the thin light running down the middle of the calf adding so nicely to the definition and contrasting colours. Jane's body is beautifully painted with just great definition and plane changes. On her right arm, I love that muscle definition and how the shoulder, upper and lower arm all lock into each other. Her thighs are that beautiful blend of smooth and sensual as well as big and muscular and I just love it! ๐ป๐ป๐ป๐ป๐ป Her hair has a great deal of detail to it and it looks terrific as it sweeps outwards, curling, twisting and overlapping itself! And just like her body, the face is really well defined, with the clear contrasts in light and dark defining all of her plane changes and smaller details so well. Oh and you did a great job on the hammer too, giving it this rough, cracked look and I really like her foreshortened hand there. The fingers and thumb look great wrapping around the hammer's handle and I love the palm of the hand with the clearly contrasted light and shadow there. Beautiful work on this piece, Didi!
