possible album cover artwork 🌊

Hellou beautiful people, today I'm sharing some pictures with you, which aaalmost became part of my album artwork :) We took them two weeks ago on the last evening we had together in Portimão, before I traveled back to Lisbon to meet the music video crew there. As always, we took them with an analogue camera, so I had to wait a couple of days until the film was developed. When I finally got the results I realized that the lab messed up the scans of the negatives, all the pictures were slightly squished (looked kinda funny I must admit), so I had to go to a different photo lab to get a proper scan... This film is so important to me, these pictures are gonna be the artwork of my album forever so the quality has to be as good as possible.

I was running a little late to upload all the files, so I decided on the album cover the next day - I'm not gonna share it with you yet! The final graphics will stay a secret until the release hehe but I'm happy to share that I'm working on them with a friend of mine, she's one of the owners of the SternAtelier5 where I played last December. She's a photographer and graphic designer, and also did the artwork for some other Vienna based artists - I really like her style and I'm already so curious to see the final look of my LP. Yes, there will be physical copies of the album, but that's gonna take a while still, of course I'll keep you updated! For now the online release will be on the 10th of October, everything else will happen after that.

I really like the light on these photographs, it's that beautiful evening light before everything turns blue - we didn't have much time to shoot, the golden hour is a delicate thing to capture, especially on film. We just had like 30 pictures left - but most of them turned out beautiful. These four are part of my favorites, and will be probably used for general visuals, but not for the album cover itself :)

I hope you're having a good week so far, here in Vienna autumn has really started, it's been raining for three days straight and right now I'm sitting covered in blankets in my living room, with a hot water bottle and chai tea, oh well, soon we're gonna start using the fireplace again.
