Hello son, I'm a new dad here and I've actually just subscribed to see your commentary on the films (sounds lame but I have an unreasonable soft spot for the first one). I can't believe that you liked the second one that much more, but it was hysterical and I might watch it again myself just for the lolz. There were two things that I wanted to say about your commentary on the first film though, because obviously, I'm obsessed. First, the creatures in that film were actually all practical effects and I think fortified with the tiniest bit of CGI. I really don't know how they messed up the lying figure in post, but if you watch the behind the scenes video it actually looks super good irl. The stunt actor was all wrapped up in a rubber suit and had to breathe through a tube. Even the black goo that was sprayed was real. The practical stuff in that film was really detailed and realistic in general. The actress for Cybil said she didn't expect to actually have to act again a real giant blade being waved in her face and had to follow choreography to dodge it. Second, if the Sean Bean stuff felt tagged on and padded out the movie, I think it's because it was. It might be a myth but I think studio interfered and asked for more male presence later in filming because a female led movie just isnt a real movie I guess. yikeroos Anyway sorry about the long comment! I've really enjoyed this video and I've put it on sometimes to listen to as I go to bed hahaha. I love the way that you focus on the good stuff in each of the games, even the ones that aren't quite liked by the fandom. Looking forward to more good stuff from you!! Proud dad x
