Maybe this is completely unfounded. I know navigating the media is, like, an actual skill (or seems to be?). But sometimes it really irks me when people say that people like Trump are media savants because they always seem to benefit from the way the media chooses to frame things. I think this really exemplifies various problems inherent in the media. But just because this benefitted him and others like him doesn't mean that they're geniuses and not just insane people who are benefitting from a broken system that's giving them a platform they never should have had access to in the first place.

I'm sure this has already been mentioned in the 200+ comments above me but Patreon comment threads kinda suck so: da bois were a little bit confused about why some seemingly milquetoast information is classified. A lot of people are puzzled about this, so here's why. Sometimes information is classified because the information itself is sensitive Sometimes it's classified because *how we know it* is sensitive. That is, either the channel is included as part of the information or some other spy agency would be able to deduce where it came from, either way now they know that channel is not as secure as they thought.
