If the Germans had concentrated on SAMs instead of ballistic missiles they might have made a difference. An allied bomber could deliver a bigger payload than a V-2, and knocking them down would have been a much more effective use of resources..
2024-02-27 04:44:22 +0000 UTCAt the risk of stating the obvious, if the Allied bombing of German cities didn't "End the War" a few more V-2s wouldn't have either. I would have diverted most of the strategic bombing funding to tactical. Less 8th Air Force and more 9th Air Force.
