I was sitting at my husbands desk, looking through the group, and I saw where a friend mentioned wanting to see a fire/camp fire session. I immediately felt inspired. However, I knew that a session like this would need to be modeled by someone I know, have worked with and that I kinda had an idea wouldn't sue me if she burnt to death. Maybe.. I was also heavily inspired by witches burning wrongfully, and the anger, betrayal they felt.
The set up was fairly simple, we use wood heat, so we have basically everything I needed. It was a night so privacy was easy to achieve as well, but OMG the shoot itself was hard, and not because of the model. My fire was a quarter of the size I needed, but did not know I needed haha. And my model is a crazy lady who was basically willing to crawl into the fire to get the shot!
I used my newer camera which has insane lower light capabilities! I used my 50mm sigma art lens, and then in editing I had to remove a ton of background light, and remove some noise from having my ISO so daggon high.
I am really pleased with the outcome, but I will not offer these to clients. This was more of an art project for me!
