So this is Christmas
Added 2023-12-19 21:54:59 +0000 UTCIt was a horribly rainy day in the studio when Grace came in for her Christmas session! She was also having her hair and make up done, which went a little over as well. I was extremely nervous on the lighting conditions, and how things would play out. As many of you know, I rely heavily on natural light for my studio sessions.
I can shoot with flash, but I prefer not to! I just really enjoy the way deep shadows look for boudoir sessions, and flash kinda kills that. I’ve actually been considering getting into strobe lighting, but at the end of the day natural light is just the way to go for my style.
I ended up relying on my Christmas lights, which did cast a pretty intense, orange glow, which I then toned down in editing by dropping my pinks!!
I have also recently improved my editing technique by learning how to perfect skin tones so all in all, I have just been very happy with my journey the last few months. I did upgrade my camera and I will be shooting with it for the first time on Thursday, so I will update you all then on how that goes.
