Burn out reversed
Added 2023-12-11 19:48:42 +0000 UTCFrom the month of August until January I am typically shooting every single day of the week, sometimes multiple sessions on top of editing 4 to 8 hours a day. At this point, I am running on fumes and coffee.
I always end up with burn out around this time. But yesterday, my awesome friend Grace came into the studio for her Christmas boudoir, and she hired my other friend Tiffany to do her hair and make up! It was a very refreshing time in the studio and helped reverse some of my burn out. I cannot wait to show you guys this album. There are so many beautiful and fun shots! I always love when Grace comes to see me because I feel like I have a little more space to get creative because she is a friend and I feel more safe in that aspect!
I shot this session with my Nikon D850 and my 50 mm lens. It was a very gloomy overcast day, and I was starting to get nervous because I typically rely on natural light only in my studio. But we went ahead with the Christmas vibes and I decided to be Brave and rely a little bit more on artificial lights from my set! I think it is going to pay off from what I have seen so far and just playing around with the image above.

Yesterday was SO fun and I needed it more than I realized. I’ve been burnt out overall in life lately and yesterday was the most fun and stress free I had felt in a long time. I felt relaxed and safe. Thank you so much for everything you do (this goes to Tiffany too)! ❤️
