Sketch request - Blast-Ended Skrewts

Hagrid tries to give them teddy bears at one point to see if they sleep!!!!!
Their descriptions are kind of confusing but keep emphasizing that they have no discernible head, a rear end that acts like a rocket when they need to move fast and that possibly just males have a scorpion tail.

The first time I read about them, I immediately imagined them as cumaceans. Might be what she was going for.

It's also possible she meant that the part where the blasts shoot out may not the tail end and could be the head for all we now. Sort how an octopus' bag-like body could interpreted as a "nose" or head of some sort.

2018-06-24 02:14:14 +0000 UTCI went over Rowling's descriptions of them so many times to try and parse what she was going for, but I think she just didn't care too much about consistency. I kept thinking they were meant to have identical front and backs, but she never does word it that way, just that there's "no distinguishable head," so I guess nothing like a mouth or a face!
