This monster almost feels like a very different style from Mortasheen and I feel like I need to come up with one or two related, similarly styled monsters to further "justify" it.

Yeah, I noticed. And I like how it's actual mouth appears to be an almost fish-like sucker, which looks amazing. Are the ammunition-young actually developed from tumors?
